SOLAR MATERIALS is a cleantech startup from Magdeburg that recycles solar modules. We have developed a new recycling technology that for the first time allows for the economic recovery of all raw materials from solar modules. Our vision is driven by the shared goal of revolutionizing the solar industry and making a positive impact on our planet. We take proactive measures to address future challenges today. This means we implement tasks and projects with our hands-on mentality and continually work to improve our technology as well as ourselves. This allows us to flexibly and efficiently solve all challenges while always being mindful of our environment. We are happy to work with people of different experience levels or from various cultures. The SOLAR MATERIALS GmbH was founded in June 2021. Our headquarters in Magdeburg houses our management as well as the research and development department and, of course, our first automated recycling line. In the search for an optimal recycling solution for solar modules, we have evolved from a research and development company to a certified solar panel recycling company since 2023. To date, we have been able to acquire over 3 million euros in venture capital. We are proud to have three excellent investors, bmp Ventures, First Imagine!, and Katapult, who share our vision of the solar industry as a circular economy and work with us towards a green future!
