SHW (Schwabische Huttenwerke)

SHW (parent company of the performance division) has a proud history and is one of few companies in the world who can trace its roots back over an incredible 650 years to 1365! SHW initially began extracting iron ore and carrying out smelting activities around the area of Konigsbronn, Germany which marked the birthplace of both the plant and SHW (Schwabische Huttenwerke, translates to Swabian Smelting Works). SHW focuses predominantly on the manufacture of brake discs at its plant in Tuttlingen, Ludwigstal, Germany. SHW launches SHW Performance to enter the automotive aftermarket and performance industry. The launch coincides with the appointment and opening of its US branch operating out of Irvine, California.
