The objective of this site is to record some of my experiences and knowledge obtained in the development of robots based on ROS (Robotic Operating System), and thus share the necessary knowledge to assemble a robot (relatively economical) capable of mapping the environment and navigating in it without colliding. Due to the scarcity of information in Portuguese about ROS, this website is unique in the robotics landscape in Portugal. The robots with ROS require a computer capable of running Linux (Ubuntu or Debian). The main information is organized as follows: 1. Introduction to the Robotic Operating System (ROS) 2.
