In addition to many measures such as the use of green electricity and the use of LED technology, runners, residues, and defective parts are recycled as regenerates in our production process. This in-house recycling process conserves our resources and protects our climate and environment. The occurrence of brown algae (Sargassum) in the oceans has now become a significant problem. Floating in the water, these algae mats block sunlight and endanger the lives of many marine creatures. Tonnes of Sargassum wash up on many beaches and release toxic gases during decomposition. We use this biomass as a raw material: In the new Ritter ALGO-PEN®. Bio-based PLA forms the basis for this new development. With the addition of 20% brown algae, we produce the ALGO-PEN® with this new material – the first ballpoint pen "born in the ocean." For the sake of the environment: Regional production in the Brensbach plant - with short transport routes. Climate neutrality for our recycled and bio-based products.
