Dalian Latex Co., Ltd. (formerly Dalian Latex Factory) is one of the state-designated manufacturers of condoms, with nearly 40 years of history in producing condoms since 1965. Currently, the company has over 600 employees, including more than 80 specialized personnel, and its annual sales revenue approaches 70 million yuan. The annual production capacity for condoms reaches 600 million pieces, covering a full range of types and styles. In addition to smooth surface products, there are also non-smooth surface varieties such as dotted, ribbed, combination, and various colors, fragrances, and patented products. The "Family Planning" brand, which is distributed free by the national family planning program, has been named a famous product by the Dalian municipal government. During its continuous development, Dalian Latex Co., Ltd. has received significant attention from leaders at all levels and the State Family Planning Commission. Comrade Peng Peiyun visited the factory in July 1991 and inscribed a message, and she did so again in August 2000 during her visit to Dalian, greatly inspiring and promoting the company's growth. The company has been recognized as a "Civilized Unit" by the municipal Party committee and government, and as a "Contract-abiding and Credit-worthy Unit" by the provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce; it is also an exempted inspection unit by the municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce. Dalian Latex Co., Ltd. adheres to the principle of relying on quality to succeed in the market and attract customers, treating product quality as the lifeblood of the enterprise. It strictly implements ISO9001 and ISO13485 international standards. As early as 1995, it was the first among seven designated domestic producers to pass the product quality certification; in 1999, it passed the ISO9001 quality system certification by the China Import and Export Commodity Quality Certification Center and obtained the national-granted import and export business rights. In March 2001, it further passed the EU quality management system and product quality CE certification. At present, the products not only have a considerable market share domestically but are also exported to nearly 20 countries in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, and Africa, with exports accounting for more than 30% of total production.
