Swiss DATWYLER Cabling Solutions AG is a comprehensive multinational corporation founded in Switzerland in 1912. As a global leading supplier of system solutions for data networks (LAN/WAN) and fully functional secure cabling systems, Datwyler has invested in establishing two wholly-owned cable subsidiaries in China: Datwyler Cabling Solutions (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Datwyler (Suzhou) Wiring Systems Co., Ltd. The Datwyler Group recently decided to expand its investment in China by setting up a new wholly foreign-owned company, Datwyler (Suzhou) Cabling Solutions Co., Ltd., in Taicang City. The new Datwyler factory in Taicang is located in the Taicang New District Industrial Park, Jiangsu Province, with Tengfei Road to the east, Beijing Road to the south, and planned industrial vacant land to the north and west. The total area of the site is 40,473.1 square meters, with an investment of 287.868 million RMB, including the construction of new production plants, warehouses, and office buildings. After the completion and commencement of operations in 2014, the annual production capacity will be 48,000 kilometers of high-end data copper cables, 50,000 fiber-kilometers of optical cables, 4,100 kilometers of elevator flat cables, 520,000 wire harnesses, and 2.4 million pieces of panels and connectors. The company will employ approximately 500 people, with laborers working in three shifts (8 hours per shift), and office staff working 8-hour regular day shifts, for 250 working days per year. The company provides a staff canteen offering lunch and dinner.
