Chongtong Chengfei Wind Power Equipment Jiangsu Co., Ltd. is a newly established subsidiary of Chongqing General Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. Chongqing General Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Chongtong Group") is a key state-owned enterprise under the general environmental protection sector, one of the four major segments of Chongqing Electromechanical Co., Ltd., a listed company in Hong Kong. It mainly designs, manufactures, and sells centrifugal refrigeration units and systems, centrifugal compressor units, industrial high-temperature fans, centrifugal ventilation (induction) fans, complete sets of environmental protection equipment and projects, wind turbine blades, and other components, as well as Class I and II pressure vessels. The company officially launched its wind power project in 2006. In 2008, Chongtong's large-scale wind turbine blade industrialization project was identified by the Chongqing Economic and Information Commission as one of the "15 Major New Product Projects of 2008." It is currently the only enterprise in Chongqing that produces wind turbine blades. Chongtong has invested 107.55 million yuan to build a constant temperature and humidity standard factory in Chongqing, primarily for the production and manufacturing of wind turbine blades, hubs, main shafts, frames, and bearing seats. Chongtong Chengfei Wind Power Equipment Jiangsu Co., Ltd. is the sixth production base nationwide of Jilin Chongtong Chengfei New Materials Co., Ltd., which is part of the wind power segment of the Chongtong Group. Located in Rudong Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu Province, with a registered capital of 100 million yuan, it focuses on the research and development and production of offshore wind turbine blades. The total investment in the company is 680 million yuan, covering an area of 224 acres, to be constructed in three phases. After completion and commissioning, it will have an annual output capacity of 630 sets of various types of blades, including: 150 sets/year of 5 MW class offshore wind turbine blades, 150 sets/year of 4 MW class offshore wind turbine blades, 150 sets/year of 3 MW onshore wind turbine blades, and 180 sets/year of 2~3 MW onshore wind turbine blades, with an annual output value reaching over 1.5 billion yuan. Currently, the construction of the factory is about to begin, with an expected completion and start of operations in February 2016.
