Spirax Sarco BSA2T Bellows Shut-off Valve is a forced sealing valve, which means that pressure must be applied to the valve disc to ensure that the sealing surface does not leak when the valve is closed. When the medium enters the valve from below the valve disc, the operating force must overcome the friction force of the valve stem and packing, as well as the thrust generated by the medium's pressure. The force required to close the valve is greater than that to open it, so the diameter of the valve stem must be large; otherwise, the valve stem may bend. In recent years, with the introduction of self-sealing valves, the flow direction of the medium through the shut-off valve has been changed to enter the valve chamber from above the valve disc. Under the pressure of the medium, the force required to close the valve is reduced, while the force to open the valve is increased, allowing for a corresponding reduction in the diameter of the valve stem. Additionally, valves of this type are also more tightly sealed under the action of the medium. In China, the "Three Standards for Valves" has stipulated that the flow direction of shut-off valves should always be selected from top to bottom.
The Spirax Sarco BSA2T Bellows Shut-off Valve is a shut-off valve used in pipelines, where its opening and closing member is controlled by rotating the actuator to raise or lower the valve disc, thereby controlling the medium in the pipeline.
