Spirax Sarco SV615 Safety Valve Introduction
The SV615 is a full stroke, full nozzle safety valve suitable for applications involving steam, air, non-reactive industrial gases, and non-hazardous liquids.
Application
Spirax Sarco SV615 Safety Valve: Full stroke, full nozzle safety valve. It is suitable for applications involving steam, air, non-reactive industrial gases, and non-hazardous liquids. It is used for steam or hot water boilers, generators, pressure vessels, gas storage tanks, air compressors, and downstream protection of high-pressure autoclave pressure-reducing valves, etc.
Size DN15~50, pressure PN25, with BSP or NPT connections; sanitary clamp connections are available for DN15~25. Sealing performance meets API527 standards. Soft-sealing valve cores are available. SV607/SV604 safety valves: full stroke flanged safety valves. Mainly used for the protection of steam boiler pipelines, pressure vessels, compressors, and gas storage tanks, as well as most industrial process equipment.
Meets the requirements of DIN320 TRD421, with TUV certification, sizes DN20~DN150, with SV607 pressure levels of PN16/25 and SV604 of PN40/AN300, DIN standard flanges and ANSI standard flanges are available. Sealing performance meets API527 standards. Soft-sealing valve cores can be provided according to customer requirements.
Spirax Sarco SV615 Safety Valve features advanced design, a wide variety, and materials (bronze, cast iron, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, etc.), with a wide temperature range, and all products are certified by relevant organizations, capable of providing safety valves that meet different standard requirements.
In pressure reducing station systems, to prevent the downstream pressure of the pressure reducing valve from exceeding the rated operating pressure of the equipment, it is necessary to install a safety valve downstream of the pressure reducing valve. The set pressure of the safety valve must be within the maximum allowable pressure range of the equipment while maintaining a sufficient pressure differential from the normal operating pressure to avoid frequent activation of the safety valve, which can damage the sealing surfaces. The setting of the safety valve must be performed by qualified personnel. When selecting a safety valve, it should ensure that the safety valve can handle the maximum flow that can pass through the pressure reducing valve at the set pressure.
Spirax Sarco SV615 Safety Valve Parameters:
1. Required discharge capacity of the system or equipment and the number of valves to be installed.
2. Opening pressure (or set pressure).
3. Medium and its specific gravity (for liquid media) or molecular weight and compressibility factor (for gas media).
4. Temperature of the medium at the valve inlet.
5. Presence of back pressure, if any.
6. Required valve execution standards (if not specifically stated, designated by the supplier).
