Composition
Ultra-high molar mass polydimethylsiloxane powder
Characteristics
Used in the plastic industry to improve processing performance and surface properties of finished products.
Enhances the gloss and smoothness of surfaces for resins, fillers, and other composite materials, improving surface wear resistance.
Improves demolding of finished products and reduces fiber floating.
In wire and cable applications, it enhances surface gloss, mitigates melt fracture during extrusion, and can lower the burning rate, smoke generation, and improve impact strength of heat-resistant grade resins.
The recommended usage amount is 0.1-3.0%, which can effectively improve the processability of thermoplastic plastics, reduce extrusion torque, and decrease the roughness of extruded surfaces.
For systems with high filler content, an addition of 3.0-5.0% can effectively compensate for the reduced impact strength caused by inorganic fillers. When the dosage increases to 3.0-8.0%, it can reduce the smoke generation and carbon monoxide production during plastic combustion and effectively inhibit the burning rate while enhancing the impact strength of composite materials.
This product is widely used in modified engineering plastics, wire and cable, PP-R, PE-X pipes, shoe materials, plastic films, plastic milk bottles, cosmetic packaging materials, and other industries.
