General Plastics-PE-LDPE
HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) is an opaque, white waxy material with a density lower than water, ranging from 0.941 to 0.960 g/cm³. It is flexible yet tough, slightly harder than LDPE but still somewhat stretchable. HDPE is non-toxic and odorless.
- **Combustion Characteristics**: Highly flammable, it continues to burn after the flame is removed. The upper part of the flame is yellow, while the lower part is blue. During combustion, it melts and drips without emitting black smoke, releasing an odor similar to burning paraffin wax.
- **Main Advantages**: Resistant to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents, with excellent electrical insulation properties. At low temperatures, it maintains a certain level of toughness. Its surface hardness, tensile strength, and rigidity are higher than those of LDPE, approaching that of PP, though its surface smoothness is not as good as PP.
- **Product Performance**: HDPE is a non-toxic, odorless, and tasteless white granule with a melting point of 130°C and a relative density of 0.946 to 0.976 g/cm³. It has good heat and cold resistance, excellent chemical stability, high stiffness and toughness, and good mechanical strength. It also exhibits superior dielectric properties and resistance to environmental stress cracking.
- **Primary Applications**: Used for extruded packaging films, ropes, woven nets, fishing nets, water pipes, injection-molded low-end daily necessities and casings, non-load-bearing components, glue tanks, turnover boxes, extrusion blow-molded containers, hollow products, and bottles. Also used for hollow formed products and blown film products such as food packaging bags, shopping bags, fertilizer inner lining films, etc.
- **Application Scenarios**:
1. Injection Molding Products: Including turnover boxes, bottle caps, buckets, hats, food containers, trays, garbage bins, boxes, and plastic flowers.
2. Blow Molding Products: Hollow formed products like various series of blow-molded buckets, containers, bottles for holding cleaning agents, chemicals, cosmetics, gasoline tanks, and daily items. Also includes blown film products like food packaging bags, shopping bags, and fertilizer inner lining films.
3. Extrusion Products: Pipes and fittings mainly used for gas transmission, public water supply, and chemical transportation, such as construction drainage pipes, gas pipes, and hot water pipes. Sheets are primarily used for seats, suitcases, and handling containers.
4. Rotational Molding: Large containers, storage tanks, buckets, and boxes.
5. Polyethylene can be processed into films, wire and cable sheaths, pipes, various hollow products, injection-molded products, fibers, etc., widely used in agriculture, packaging, electronics, machinery, automobiles, and daily miscellaneous items.
