The high transparency of styrene-butadiene transparent impact-resistant resin can rival that of general-purpose polystyrene, polycarbonate, cellulose acetate, and acrylic glass. When used to modify polystyrene and SAN resins, it not only improves impact strength but also maintains good transparency. The impact strength of styrene-butadiene transparent impact-resistant resin is about 3-5 times that of general-purpose polystyrene and SAN resins, and approximately 75% that of cellulose acetate, fully meeting the requirements for general products.
2. Safe and non-toxic
Styrene-butadiene transparent impact-resistant resin complies with the U.S. Federal Regulations (FDA) concerning additives and meets the requirements of China's healthcare industry standard GB15593-1995. It is suitable for food packaging, especially for containers of non-fatty foods. When applied in the medical field, sterilization using ethylene oxide, gamma rays, or electron radiation does not affect its physical properties.
3. Wide applicability and good processability
Styrene-butadiene transparent impact-resistant resin can be processed in various forms such as injection, extrusion, blow molding, and compression molding to meet the requirements of different products. It has a wide processing temperature range, good fluidity, short cycle time, and low energy consumption. The products are resistant to water, acid, and alkali, non-toxic, and have strong colorability. It can be used alone or blended with materials like polystyrene for modification and can be extruded into sheets and thermoformed on conventional equipment.
