Considerations for electrical conduit installation in building floor slabs: Electrical conduits in floor slabs should primarily use PVC pipes, and junction boxes are best made of PVC fittings. If metal junction boxes are required, they must have insulation protection on the inside and outside. Conduits should be straight pipes; if bending is necessary, the angle should be within 90°. The total bending angle of the conduits between two junction boxes must not exceed 270°. The length of the conduits in a section should be designed within 30M; for longer lengths or if the bending angle exceeds this, intermediate junction boxes should be added at appropriate positions to facilitate wire pulling. When installing conduits, attention must be paid to expansion issues, and expansion joints should be installed at suitable locations. All grounding works must be based on electrical work standards to ensure the safety of the building and human life. Grounding wires should be pulled into the junction box and led into the electrical conduit. When installing electrical conduits and junction boxes, care must be taken to prevent damage or harm during concrete pouring to avoid affecting future wire pulling. If the weight of the lighting fixtures exceeds 10KG, the outer side of the junction box should be reinforced with a metal plate. Concrete should be prevented from flowing into the junction box, and the inside should be blocked with waste newspaper or fabric. For embedded pipes in floor slabs, there should be no more than two pipes at an intersection, and no three pipes should cross at the same location. When the reinforcement in the floor slab consists of two layers, the PVC electrical pipes should be installed in the middle of the two layers of reinforcement. Horizontal conduits within walls should be avoided as much as possible; conduits should generally run vertically downward. When conduits penetrate external walls, the penetration area should be coated with a mixture of adhesive and fine sand on the outside of the PVC pipe, and concrete should be poured after it has dried. During the concrete pouring process for floor slabs, conduits must not be stepped on; special attention should be paid during construction. If any damage occurs, it should be reported immediately, and work can only continue after repairs are made. When conduits are exposed, they should be fixed using pipe saddles, with a fixing distance of no more than 1.5M, and the position of the pipe ends and junction boxes should be within 30CM. When connecting pipes, if they are used as expansion joints, no adhesive is needed, but grease should be applied. For expansion joint installation, it can be inserted all the way to the bottom in summer, while in winter, a gap of 1CM should be reserved.
