200 grams of polyester geotextile Applications of polyester geotextile: - Filtration for water conservancy projects, embankments, and slope protection; isolation and seepage prevention in channels; - Foundation isolation, filtration, drainage, soil slope, retaining walls, and pavement reinforcement and drainage for highways, railways, and airport runways; - Soft foundation treatment in port engineering, beach embankments, harbor docks, and breakwaters reinforcement and drainage; - Polyester geotextile has been widely used in the infrastructure construction field and is gradually being applied to a broader range of areas. Laying process of polyester geotextile: 1. Storage, transportation, and handling of geotextile The geotextile rolls should be protected from damage before installation. The rolls should be stacked in a flat, non-waterlogged area, with a height not exceeding four rolls, and the identification tags should be visible. The rolls must be covered with opaque material to prevent UV aging. During storage, maintain the integrity of the labels and information. During transportation (including transportation from the material storage area to the work site), geotextile rolls must be protected from damage. Geotextile rolls that have sustained physical damage must be repaired. Severely worn geotextiles cannot be used. Any geotextile that has come into contact with leaking chemical reagents is not allowed to be used in this project. 2. Laying method of geotextile: 2.1 Manual rolling; the surface of the fabric should be flat, with appropriate allowance for deformation. 2.2 Installation of long or short fiber geotextiles typically involves overlapping, sewing, and welding methods. The width of sewing and welding should generally be more than 0.1m, and the overlap width should usually be more than 0.2m. Geotextiles that may be exposed for a long time should be welded or sewn. 2.3 Sewing of geotextile All sewing must be continuous (e.g., spot sewing is not allowed). Before overlapping, the geotextiles must overlap by at least 150mm. The distance from the small sewing needle to the woven edge (the exposed edge of the material) must be at least 25mm. The sewn geotextile seams must include a row of lockstitch chain stitching. The thread used for sewing should be a resin material with a small tension exceeding 60N, and should have chemical corrosion resistance and UV resistance equal to or exceeding that of the geotextile. Any "missing stitch" on the sewn geotextile must be re-sewn at the affected area. Appropriate measures must be taken to prevent soil, particulate matter, or foreign substances from entering the geotextile layer after installation. The overlaps of the fabric can be classified into natural overlaps, sewn overlaps, or welded overlaps based on terrain and usage functions.
