SKLZ Launches Silent Basketball Made of Polyurethane Foam for Quiet Indoor Training Experience

Dribbling practice in the hallway or kitchen might be a great way for kids to hone their dribbling skills, but the "thump, thump, thump" sound of the basketball on the floor can easily annoy other family members. Now, sports training equipment specialist SKLZ has brought a new solution for parents troubled by noise: a silent basketball made of polyurethane foam.
The company claims that Bashhhketball Pro is the only silent basketball that has the same size and weight as a standard basketball. It is designed to allow players to practice their skills indoors without causing noise disturbances.
This basketball has a circumference of 29.5 inches (approximately 74.9 centimeters) and weighs 22 ounces (approximately 623 grams), similar to a standard basketball. It is said to offer the same touch and performance as a real basketball, but with significantly reduced noise and less impact when dribbling on wooden floors, tiled floors, and carpets.
The company stated that the dual-density polyurethane foam composite allows it to bounce to the same height as a real basketball and withstand repeated use without deforming. The integrated grooves and channels simulate the feel of a standard basketball, enabling players to control the ball precisely and helping them develop consistent hand movements.
"SKLZ Bashhhketball Pro is undoubtedly a revolutionary product for young basketball players looking to hone their skills indoors anytime, anywhere," said Michael Polk, CEO of Implus, the parent company of SKLZ. "Its size and weight are the same as a standard basketball, making it an ideal tool for realistic and effective skill training without generating excessive noise."
The basketball is now available for sale at a price of $59.99.
