OQ to Showcase Polymer Solutions for Product Durability at Plastindia 2026
Global integrated energy group OQ will participate in Plastindia 2026, marking a key step in its long-term strategy to strengthen its presence in India’s polymer and petrochemical market. OQ's participation underscores its focus on industry collaboration and downstream growth, further deepening trade and investment ties between Oman and India. This participation comes on the heels of the trade agreement signed between the two countries, creating new opportunities for trade, investment, and industrial collaboration.

The product features high impact strength, environmental stress cracking resistance, and UV stability.
In response to the growing global demand for highly durable materials, OQ is showcasing its extensively upgraded polymer product portfolio. Among these, specialty grades for rotational molding are part of OQ's largest polyethylene and polypropylene product range, featuring 17 specialized grades tailored for specific applications. These products are designed to meet the demanding requirements of high-performance applications in packaging, infrastructure, construction, and durable consumer goods.
Within this product portfolio, OQ's rotational molding solutions are specifically developed and designed for water storage tanks and industrial enclosures. Among them, grades such as RUBAN™ LL-R3605UV offer a combination of high impact strength, environmental stress crack resistance, and UV stability, helping end products achieve long service life and stable production. These properties ensure the stable operation of end products in the harsh climates and working conditions common in India.
OQ continues to expand its rotomolding product portfolio and will launch a new hexene-based rotomolding grade in Q1 2026. This product is specifically designed for high-end applications with extremely high requirements for mechanical strength and environmental stress cracking resistance.
Abdulrahman Al Tamtami, Vice President of Global Marketing at OQ, stated: "Rotomolding is a core application technology in the infrastructure sector, which has stringent requirements for product durability, consistency, and long service life. By introducing our rotomolding portfolio to the Indian market, we aim to provide processors with customized material solutions tailored to real-world scenarios. Whether addressing UV exposure, underground installation conditions, or long-term mechanical stress, we ensure a stable and reliable processing experience."
Beyond specialized rotomolding materials, OQ’s product portfolio encompasses a wide range of polypropylene and polyethylene grades for packaging, storage solutions, piping, and durable consumer goods. The entire product lineup is developed with a customer-centric, application-driven R&D philosophy.
Showcase achievements in building the polymer-to-finished-product manufacturing ecosystem.
OQ will also highlight the latest construction progress of its "Raqtan Project" in Oman at the exhibition – a polymer-to-finished product integrated manufacturing ecosystem built by OQ. This project provides Indian processing companies with valuable opportunities to expand downstream capacity and enter regional and international markets.
Sadiq Al Lawati, OQ’s Managing Director of Marketing, added: “India is one of the most important growth markets for the global polymer industry, and our core development direction is to provide tailored material solutions for key local application areas. The upgraded rotomolding product portfolio and the full range of polypropylene and polyethylene products we are bringing this time are a testament to our application-oriented development strategy, providing the market with material solutions focused on infrastructure construction, high durability, and long-lasting performance.”
During this exhibition, OQ will also hold two coffee tasting and exchange sessions at its booth, aiming to deepen communication with partners from all sectors of the industry. The sessions will focus on two main themes: the "Ladan Program" and application-oriented polymer solutions for the Indian market, and will be led by Azizur Rahman from OQ's Technology Development Department and Sheikhha Al Rabhi from the Business Development Department.
