Polyethylene Prices Continue to Rise as Traders Actively Push Higher

Market Overview: On March 12, the market price of polyethylene continued to rise today. The market price of LLDPE (7042) was between 8,400-9,000 yuan/ton, the market price of LDPE (2426H) was between 10,500-11,500 yuan/ton, and the average market price of HDPE (6095) was between 8,000-9,200 yuan/ton. The average market price of LLDPE (7042) was 8,408 yuan/ton, an increase of 430 yuan/ton from the previous working day, with a growth rate of 5.39%; the average market price of LDPE (2426H) was 10,935 yuan/ton, an increase of 393 yuan/ton from the previous working day, with a growth rate of 3.73%; the average market price of HDPE (6095) was 8,635 yuan/ton, an increase of 348 yuan/ton from the previous working day, with a growth rate of 4.20%. Yesterday, the international crude oil market was mainly rising, with strong cost support. The main futures of polyethylene opened high and oscillated at a high level, while the spot market mainly raised quotations. At present, the sentiment within the polyethylene market is boosted, and merchants are actively pushing up prices.

North China Region: Today, market prices in Qilu region were adjusted by 0–750 RMB/ton. HDPE Prices: Jilin Petrochemical’s 100S quoted at 8,200 RMB/ton; Ningxia Baofeng’s 23050 quoted at 8,150 RMB/ton; Qilu Petrochemical’s 2480 quoted at 9,000 RMB/ton. LDPE Prices: Daqing Petrochemical’s 2420D quoted at 8,300 RMB/ton; Qilu Petrochemical’s 2102TN26 quoted at 10,700 RMB/ton; Zhongtian Hechuang’s 100-PC quoted at 10,650 RMB/ton. LLDPE Prices: Qilu Petrochemical’s 7151U quoted at 10,000 RMB/ton; Inner Mongolia Baofeng’s 7042 quoted at 8,400 RMB/ton; Sinopec Sinochem’s 222WT quoted at 8,600 RMB/ton.

East China Region: Today, market prices in Yuyao adjusted by 0 to 800 RMB/ton. HDPE prices: Guangxi Petrochemical 7260 at 8,200 RMB/ton, Lanzhou Petrochemical 5000S at 8,800 RMB/ton, Zhenhai Refining & Chemical 5502H at 8,300 RMB/ton. LDPE prices: Yangzi BASF 2420H at 11,450 RMB/ton, China Energy Xinjiang 2426H at 10,800 RMB/ton, China Energy Yulin 2426H at 10,800 RMB/ton. LLDPE prices: Basell Baolai 7042 at 8,700 RMB/ton, Huatai Shengfu 7042 at 8,650 RMB/ton, Yulong Petrochemical 7042 at 8,550 RMB/ton.

South China region: Today's price adjustment in Guangzhou ranged from 200 to 1300 yuan/ton. HDPE prices: Hainan Refining 23050 is quoted at 8650 yuan/ton, Fujian United 8920 is quoted at 9000 yuan/ton, Guangdong Petrochemical 6200 is quoted at 8650 yuan/ton. LDPE prices: Maoming Petrochemical 2426H is quoted at 11300 yuan/ton, Maoming Petrochemical 2426K is quoted at 11300 yuan/ton, Maoming Petrochemical 951-000 is quoted at 11200 yuan/ton. LLDPE prices: Guangdong Petrochemical 7042N is quoted at 8950 yuan/ton, Guangxi Petrochemical 7042N is quoted at 8900 yuan/ton, Fushun Petrochemical 7042N is quoted at 8950 yuan/ton.
