Ninebot and cainiao to co-build robovan super carrier, launch dual-brand operation
On January 29th, Gasgoo learned that Neufound and Cainiao Unmanned Vehicle jointly announced that they have reached a deep strategic integration in the unmanned vehicle business. Cainiao will become a shareholder of Neufound through injecting its own unmanned vehicle business and cash investment, supporting Neufound to build a RoboVan super aircraft carrier. This marks the official start of their deep collaboration in the RoboVan field.
Following this strategic cooperation, Cainiao will no longer manufacture or directly sell unmanned vehicles. It will leverage its logistics scenarios and ecosystem advantages to increase the application of unmanned vehicles in the logistics field. Jiushi will be granted the "Cainiao Unmanned Vehicle" brand authorization, commencing dual-brand operation.

It is reported that this strategic integration, through a combination of asset injection and cash investment, has achieved optimal allocation of resources for both parties, further enhanced Ninebot Intelligence's technology reserves and supply chain system in the L4 autonomous driving field, marking that the integrated Ninebot Intelligence has become the only "super aircraft carrier" in the field of unmanned freight transportation.
Meanwhile, the management and technology leaders of Cainiao's unmanned vehicles will also join Jiushi Intelligent, deeply participating in future strategic planning and operational management. This deep integration will effectively combine Cainiao's operational foundation in the global logistics network with Jiushi Intelligent's R&D advantages in autonomous driving vehicles and algorithms. The new entity will possess stronger technical accumulation and broader scene operation experience, building a higher-dimensional core competitiveness.
After the integration, Neufound will operate under a dual-brand strategy. The "Cainiao Unmanned Vehicle" brand will be authorized to Neufound by Cainiao, and it will maintain its identity as an ecological enterprise incubated by Alibaba's investment.
In the future market layout, Jiushi Intelligent and "Cainiao Unmanned Vehicle" will form a clear differentiated brand positioning: Jiushi Intelligent will continue to deeply cultivate the full-stack self-developed autonomous driving technology, providing intelligent transportation solutions for all scenarios; "Cainiao Unmanned Vehicle", relying on its logistics technology gene, will focus on specific scenarios and KA customers, providing in-depth intelligent supply chain services based on RoboVan. The products of the two brands will jointly build a future-oriented RoboVan super ecosystem through technology sharing, operational collaboration, and resource interoperability, achieving a win-win development in different market dimensions.
Kong Qi, CEO of Ninebot AI, stated: "This integration marks a key milestone in the autonomous driving industry's shift from 'single-point breakthroughs' to 'system integration,' and will inject the company with a broader global perspective."
Alibaba's Cainiao CEO Wan Lin stated, "The two parties will maintain a close ecological partnership and jointly explore new paths for smart logistics capacity."
