BASF Grants PolyTHF Inside® Brand License To Partners Such As Hanjiang

With the hosting of marathon and other events at the National Games, a nationwide enthusiasm for sports has been ignited. The competition on the field is fierce, and professional sports equipment can also impact performance. To help users break through their limits and ensure safety during sports, BASF's Intermediates Division has recently signed a licensing agreement with Hangzhou Hanjiang Sports Technology Co., Ltd., a leading brand of functional sports socks in China. The Hanjiang brand will use BASF PolyTHF Inside in categories such as functional sports socks and compression sports socks.®*Comfort materials of patented brands.

At the authorization ceremony, BASF also introduced the application of its products in the insole sector and shared the certified carbon footprint calculation method for its products. Also witnessing the authorization ceremony was Xinghui Chemical Fiber Group Co., Ltd., a collaborative partner in the industrial chain for both parties. Xinghui's business involves chemical fiber production, garment fabrics, and chemical manufacturing. Its subsidiary, Hangzhou Banglian Spandex Co., Ltd., is currently the only spandex production partner of BASF's PolyTHF Inside brand in China. Together, they have developed a series of differentiated spandex, which have received widespread acclaim in the market.
In addition, BASF has granted trademark usage rights for PolyTHF Inside to three other functional leisure sock brands in the Chinese market, including Jilin Luren Sock Industry Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Baodiya Textile Co., Ltd., and Liaoyuan Shouzutang Sock Industry Co., Ltd.

PolyTHF is a key raw material for producing spandex elastic fibers, which are widely used in textiles such as swimwear, sportswear, underwear, shirts, and stretch jeans.
