On November 25, 2025, leading global specialty chemicals company Lubrizol successfully held its first Asia-Pacific Innovation Summit in Shanghai. The summit, themed "Paving the Future, Leading a New Chapter," brought together over 150 industry leaders, technical experts, and industry partners to discuss cutting-edge trends in chemical materials and related fields. Comprehensive Additive Solutions for the Next Generation Automotive Market

Lubrizol introduces innovative additive solutions to comprehensively address the "China VI" regulations for commercial vehicles and the electrification trend of passenger vehicles.

The new generation of heavy-duty diesel engine oil solution, Lubrizol® CV1150, with its innovative low-ash formulation, not only meets the China VI emission standards but is also forward-looking in adapting to the future China VII stage after-treatment system protection requirements. This product has been certified to the GB11122-2025 D1 specification and has demonstrated excellent hardware protection capabilities in a 100,000-kilometer extended oil change interval driving test, effectively controlling the wear of key components and significantly reducing ash deposition in diesel particulate filters (DPF).

At the same time, the Lubrizol PV3610 series additives meet the diverse lubrication needs of passenger car engine oils through innovative formulation design. Specifically for hybrid and range-extended new energy vehicles, this solution incorporates a blend of various new chemical components to better balance the requirements of high-temperature deposits, water emulsification, and low-viscosity oil fuel economy. This ensures that the engine can operate stably over the long term in various operating environments in traditional internal combustion engines, hybrid, and range-extended models.

Innovative sustainable packaging coating materials

Lubrizol has launched a new water-based acrylic emulsion solution that offers a sustainable and high-performance coating option for food packaging, such as paper cups, paper bowls, and hamburger wrapping paper. This coating material utilizes Lubrizol's water-based products, is free of PE coatings, and does not contain PFAS, while providing excellent oil and water resistance comparable to traditional materials. It also features low VOCs, is recyclable, biodegradable, and can be repulped, with good low-temperature heat seal performance.

All products are locally produced and comply with China's GB9685, the US FDA, and EU No 10/2011.⁵Comply with major global food contact regulations to help brand owners achieve both environmental and functional goals.

Biotechnology Skincare Breakthrough——Lectroglaze™ Biotechnology components

Lubrizol has launched Lectroglaze™, the industry's first cosmetic active ingredient that utilizes an electrobiotic mechanism. This ingredient stimulates the skin microbiome to produce bioelectricity through a prebiotic effect, helping to neutralize free radicals and prevent oxidative damage induced by UV rays and aging.

The clinical study conducted by Lubrizol Barcelona and Shanghai Beauty Research Institute shows that after four weeks of continuous use, the skin shows noticeable improvement: pore length reduced by 10.2%, pore area reduced by 14.2%, making the skin appear more refined and healthy.

New Generation Midsole Technology for Sports Shoes

Lubrizol launches new typeESTANE® BCX TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) solution is specifically designed for physical foaming processes. This solution includes the ESTANE® BCX AM and ESTANE® BCX HS product series, suitable for both melt-state and solid-state physical foaming processes. It not only meets the high-performance requirements of shoe midsoles but also helps enhance production efficiency and promote recycling.



According to the foaming process, the physical foaming midsole density prepared with the new ESTANE® BCX TPU can be as low as 0.12 g/cm³, with a vertical rebound rate of 75%, combining the performance advantages of lightweight, high rebound, and long-term stability of foaming performance. To accelerate innovation, Lubrizol has established Centers of Excellence for Foaming Applications in its TPU laboratories in China and Korea, demonstrating its commitment to continuously promoting innovation and sustainable development in the footwear industry.
