Around 4 PM, a New Beijing News reporter arrived at the scene at Dapu Hongfuyuan. The fire in some of the affected buildings had mostly subsided, but smoke was still visible. There was a strong smell of smoke, and the surrounding temperature remained quite hot.

Firefighters, police, and other departments are conducting rescue operations and maintaining order, while volunteers in the area are distributing supplies such as bananas, water, and instant noodles.

On November 27, the fire at Hong Fu Court in Hong Kong resulted in 55 deaths. The consultant of the engineering company responsible for the maintenance of Hong Fu Court was taken by the police to his residence for a search.

The 68-year-old engineering consultant was still blindfolded in the police car. He was holding a cane as he was escorted to his residence in Ma On Shan, Hong Kong.

A 52-year-old director of the involved engineering company was also escorted by the police to his residence in Yuen Long, Hong Kong, wearing pajamas and slippers.
