LG Chem<Robotics> Exhibition Area Innovative MaterialsI am here to assist you.

LG Chem’s metal-finish ABS achieves a uniform metallic luster appearance for robots through a paint-free process.
This material is used for the robot’s outer casing cover to meet visualization display requirements and enable customizable transparency adjustment.
This material features high adhesion, high tensile strength, and high impact resistance, and is easy to recycle, meeting the dual requirements of mechanical performance and sustainability for robotic housing structures.

Using LG Chem's high-strength and wear-resistant engineering plastics such as PPS, PA66, and PK, the robot can stably transmit torque in repetitive driving environments. At the same time, it ensures the reliability of actuator operation under overload and wear conditions.

LG Chem's high-refractive-index PPE material enables curved design based on high transparency and high impact resistance, suitable for lens covers in robot eyes or optical sensors.
EMI shielding and thermal management materials are primarily used in camera modules and housings to enhance electromagnetic shielding and thermal stability, with dimensional precision ensuring structural integrity; IR transmission materials are used for infrared sensor housings (LiDAR) to improve the reliability of distance and object detection.

LG Chemical's NBR Latex material, with its excellent chemical resistance, outstanding soft touch, and high tensile strength, can be applied to the skin of robotic hands and tactile sensor components. Additionally, when its sole skin adopts LG Chemical's modified SSBR technology, it can reduce wear and improve the product's braking performance.

PC material, due to its excellent flame retardancy, dimensional stability, and corrosion resistance, is suitable for battery cell frames. Internal wiring can utilize ultra-high polymerization PVC material, which offers both high heat resistance and high flexibility, enhancing the stability and safety of the wiring during use.
LG Chem can provide safe material solutions for robotic batteries, including the delayed thermal runaway engineering plastic (Super Flame Barrier) and the insulation material "Nexula®" made from aerogel. The SFB material forms a hard and dense barrier on the surface when exposed to flames, effectively suppressing flame propagation and pressure transfer. Nexula® effectively blocks heat diffusion inside the battery with excellent thermal insulation performance, and can withstand temperatures up to 300°C.
Amid the global wave of robotics industry development, driven by market demand and technological innovation, LG Chem will leverage new materials for embodied intelligence applications to accelerate the deployment of lightweight, high-performance robots and continuously expand their diverse use cases.
