As the annual barometer of the rubber and plastics industry, this Media Day brought together senior executives from eight global industry leaders—Evonik, Jingbo Holdings, BASF, ENGEL & WINTEC, Kingfa Sci. & Tech., Solvay, ARBURG, and RxDx Biotech—to unveil new products, technologies, annual strategies, and China-focused initiatives, engaging in in-depth dialogues with leading media outlets.

CHINAPLAS 2026 grandly opens, with Evonik making a strong debut under the theme “Transcending Chemical Boundaries, Shaping an Unlimited Future,” closely aligning with China's 15th Five-Year Plan priorities for advancing manufacturing toward higher-end, smarter, and greener development, and showcasing its latest innovations in high-performance polymers and plastic additives.

From new energy vehicles, low-altitude economy, and the entire hydrogen energy chain, to personalized medicine, additive manufacturing, high-end consumption, and the circular economy, Evonik uses material innovation to connect multiple application scenarios, providing core support to China's strategic emerging industries with world-leading technology.

Focusing on the upgrade of the modified plastics and rubber-plastics industry, Evonik brings a one-stop solution: high-performance materials such as PA12, PEEK, and PMI foams achieve breakthroughs in lightweight, high-temperature resistance, and safety; the TEGO® series of recycling additives efficiently improve the quality of recycled plastics, and the fluorine-free processing solution better aligns with the green manufacturing trend.

During the exhibition, Evonik experts also delivered a cutting-edge presentation on how silica is driving new trends in rubber and plastic processing, promoting industry upgrades, efficiency improvements, and low-carbon transformation through practical technological applications, and jointly building a sustainable future with China’s industrial chain.

 

Jingbo Holding

At CHINAPLAS 2026, Jingbo made its debut under the theme “Smart Materials Integration, Forging the Future,” focusing on high-end, green, and intelligent development. Centered on high-growth sectors—including low-altitude economy, new energy vehicles, healthcare, and aerospace—Jingbo unveiled a series of advanced material solutions to support manufacturing upgrades.

Major breakthroughs unveiled at the exhibition: EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) produced via green processes offers low-carbon, lightweight properties and is fully recyclable; rPP-C (chemically recycled polypropylene) matches virgin material in performance and is suitable for food packaging and automotive interiors; para-aramid paper and aramid nanofibers have achieved large-scale production, supporting applications in low-altitude and aerospace sectors; new products including medical-grade PP, automotive-specific compounds, and bio-based rubber were also simultaneously launched.

Relying on chemical recycling, bio-based materials, and AI-driven R&D innovation, Jingbo continues to deepen its expertise in high-performance materials, collaborating across the industrial chain to build a green, self-reliant industrial ecosystem and driving China's modified plastics industry from growth to strength.

 

BASF

At CHINAPLAS 2026, the global chemical giant BASF showcased material innovation and green circular economy as core concepts, centered around the "Carbon Exploration Journey" lifecycle philosophy. It focused on high-growth sectors such as footwear, textiles, transportation, food contact, and new energy, presenting advanced sustainable solutions including polyurethane, TPU, engineering plastics, and bio-based materials.

During this exhibition, BASF will showcase several key achievements: a sustainable concept shoe with a single PU system developed in collaboration with Clarks; the launch of low-carbon, high-traction Elastollan® GripTec sole material and waterproof and breathable Freeflex® TPU nanofiber membrane; the introduction of lightweight composite railway flooring; and the upgrade of Ultrason® PPSU food-contact materials along with the launch of a bio-based grade, significantly reducing the carbon footprint.

ENGEL & WINTEC

At this exhibition, Kingfa Sci. & Tech. makes a significant appearance at booth C66 in Hall 7.2, with the theme "Shaping・Cycling・Imagination," closely aligning with the "15th Five-Year Plan" industrial upgrading direction. It comprehensively showcases innovative material solutions in the fields of consumer electronics, smart home, new energy vehicles, low-altitude economy, and embodied intelligence, using innovation in modified plastics and polymer materials to inject strong momentum into quality of life, industrial upgrading, and green, low-carbon transformation.

It will present a full-scenario special polymer solution for new energy vehicles, green hydrogen, electronics, medical, semiconductors, and the circular economy, providing core support for advanced manufacturing and low-carbon transformation.

The exhibition focuses on four key areas: lightweight and electrification materials for new energy vehicles, green hydrogen and polymer additives, ultra-pure materials for electronics and semiconductors, and high-performance materials for medical and home appliances. It also launches the ECHO Sustainable Series, which delivers excellent performance while reducing carbon footprint.

Relying on global R&D and the Shanghai local innovation center, Sisku continues to focus on the Chinese market, driving the upgrade of modified plastics toward high-end, low-carbon, and intelligent directions with advanced materials, and working with the industry chain to build a sustainable and self-reliant new materials ecosystem.

 

Arburg

At Chinaplas 2026, Arburg will present high-end injection molding solutions, focusing on core areas such as modified plastics for new energy vehicles and electronics, offering high-precision, automated, and cost-effective solutions to provide one-stop intelligent manufacturing support for the industry.

Allrounder 1600 T rotary table machine demonstrates on-site production of automotive connectors, featuring 2000 kN clamping force combined with a three-station rotary table and dual six-axis robots, enabling fully automatic overmolding of metal inserts in two steps using glass-fiber reinforced PBT to efficiently produce high-precision automotive high-voltage modules.

The Allrounder Trend electric series, making its Asian debut, focuses on high cost-performance, easy operation and maintenance, fast delivery, and lower costs. On-site demonstration of LCP connectors and POM gears molding, suitable for efficient mass production of modified plastic standard components.

 

Ruixun Biotech

During the 2026 CHINAPLAS, Ruisun Biotech announced the mechanical completion of its bio-based THF/PTMEG base in Qidong, Jiangsu, and officially launched the non-grain bio-based PTMEG brand Xatryx®, using second-generation bio-based technology to replace fossil raw materials, assisting the modified plastics industry in achieving a low-carbon upgrade.

The project has an investment of 10 billion yuan, with the first phase producing 50,000 tons per year and expected to start production in the second half of 2026. Xatryx® uses agricultural by-products as raw materials, does not compete with staple crops for land, its performance is comparable to fossil-based products, and can be directly used by downstream applications without adjusting the process, significantly reducing the carbon footprint.

Ruisun Biotech has made its appearance at the Plastics and Rubber Expo, aiming to promote the large-scale application of bio-based materials through technology sharing and thematic discussions in collaboration with the industry chain.
