Continental Completes Sale of ContiTech OESL Business

Continental has officially completed the sale of its Original Equipment Solutions (OESL) business unit, part of its ContiTech segment, to the American private equity firm Regent L.P.

OESL currently has approximately 14,000 employees and achieved sales of around 1.7 billion euros in fiscal year 2025.The department is mainly engaged in the research and development and production of hoses, pipes, and bearing components for internal combustion engines and electric vehicles.

In August 2025, Continental and Regent signed an agreement regarding the sale. Previously, Continental AG announced plans to split its three business sectors—Tires, ContiTech, and Automotive—into independent companies.

Upon completion of this sale and business separation, ContiTech will focus on becoming a global tire company.The specific amount and other details of the transaction between Continental Group and Regent have not been disclosed.
