China-U.S. Economic and Trade Talks to Be Held in Paris on March 15–16

On March 12, the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative each issued statements.China and the U.S. economic and trade teams will hold talks in Paris, France, from March 15 to 16.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and U.S. Trade Representative Jamison Greer will meet with Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng in Paris, France, from March 15 to 16.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative did not disclose the objectives of the Paris meeting.

In their statement, Bessent and Grier said that as a direct result of President Trump's close relationship and shared interests with China, the United States and China are further strengthening cooperation to create greater balance in their bilateral trade relationship. The Trump administration will continue to advance the interests of American farmers, ranchers, producers, and workers by reviewing the implementation of recent commitments to achieve a fair and stable relationship with China.
