China Automobile Association: Vehicle Exports to Reach 939,000 Units in April 2026, Up 51.3% Year-On-Year
According to data from the General Administration of Customs compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in April 2026, China exported 939,000 complete vehicles, up 20.3% month on month.Year-on-year growth of 51.3%With export value reaching USD 16.10 billion, up 16.7% month on month and 44.2% year on year. From January to April 2026, China exported 3.251 million complete vehicles.Increased by 50.6% year-on-year; export value reached US$56.87 billion, up 54.1% year on year.
In terms of imports, in April 2026, China imported 27,000 complete vehicles, a month-on-month decrease of 1.8%.Decreased by 32.7% year-on-year; import value reached US$1.31 billion, up 12.1% month-on-month and down 34.4% year-on-year. From January to April 2026, China imported 125,000 complete vehicles,A decrease of 7.8% year over yearImports amounted to USD 5.75 billion, down 17.2% year-on-year.

April 2026The total import and export value of automobile commodities was USD 28.09 billion.In terms of month-on-month growth, there was an increase of 16.2%, and a year-on-year growth of 21.6%. Among these, the import amount was $2.98 billion, with a month-on-month growth of 10.9% and a year-on-year decrease of 19.5%; the export amount was $25.11 billion, with a month-on-month growth of 16.8% and a year-on-year growth of 29.5%.
From January to April 2026, China’s cumulative total import and export value of automobile products reached 103.46 billion US dollars, up 26.4% year on year. Of this, imports amounted to 12.25 billion US dollars, down 7.7% year on year; exports totaled 91.21 billion US dollars, up 32.9% year on year.
