Cheyun.com 2025-11-18 10:22:58

As a leading third-party automobile quality evaluation platform in China, CheZhiWang has launched the "New Car Commodity Evaluation" section based on a vast array of automobile product test samples and scientific data models. Each month, several models that have been on the market for less than two years and have a mileage of no more than 5,000 kilometers are tested and evaluated systematically. This is done using objective data and subjective assessments by experienced evaluators with professional equipment, to comprehensively showcase and analyze the current state of new car commodity levels in the domestic automobile market. This provides consumers with objective and truthful opinions for reference when purchasing vehicles.

Positioned as a "new form five-seater SUV," the Li Auto i6 aims to shed the "dad car" label and attract more young consumers by offering a relatively affordable price and extreme performance, while continuing the brand's comfortable features and advanced intelligent technology. According to data from Car Quality Network, as of the time of writing, the 2025 Li Auto i6 has accumulated 20 complaints since its launch, with its short-term reputation remaining relatively stable. Can the 2025 Li Auto i6 maintain its existing reputation? Will there be new issues that ordinary consumers might find difficult to notice? In this issue of "New Car Product Evaluation," we will clear the fog and present an authentic view of the 2025 Li Auto i6 through both objective data and subjective experiences.

01   Objective data

This project primarily conducts on-site testing of new cars across 13 items, including basic parameters, body craftsmanship, paint film level, interior air quality, vibration and noise, parking radar, and lighting/visibility, to comprehensively and intuitively showcase the performance of the new car in terms of commerciality through objective data.

In the vehicle body craftsmanship testing phase, a total of 10 key areas were selected for the vehicle, with 3 critical points measured in each area to evaluate the uniformity of the gaps. According to the test results, the average gap of most parts of the 2025 Li Auto i6 is controlled within 4mm. However, the average gap at the connection between the right rear fender and the trunk is higher. Overall, the craftsmanship level of the vehicle is basically satisfactory.

In the paint film thickness testing phase, the results show that the average paint film thickness of the 2025 Li Auto i6 is approximately 128.2μm, which is at a mid-range level among tested competitors in the same class. From the testing data of various key areas, except for the roof where the paint film thickness is relatively high, the test values of other areas do not differ significantly, and the uniformity of the paint application meets expectations.

In the in-vehicle air quality testing phase, the vehicle was placed in an indoor parking lot with fewer vehicles. The actual measured formaldehyde content in the 2025 Ideal i6 was 0.01 mg/m³, which complies with the relevant standards set forth in the "Guidelines for the Evaluation of Air Quality in Passenger Vehicles" (National Standard GB/T 27630-2011), jointly issued by the former Ministry of Environmental Protection and the National Quality Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine Administration, effective from March 1, 2012.

During the static noise test, the 2025 Li Auto i6 recorded an interior noise level of 31.2dB in the startup state, placing it in the upper-middle range among tested models of the same class.

In the air conditioning noise testing phase, the testing instrument was placed approximately 10 cm away from the air conditioning outlet. The air volume of the air conditioning was gradually increased from low to high, and the noise levels at different settings were measured at the driver’s position. The actual measurement showed that the air conditioning adjustment for the 2025 Lixiang i6 is divided into 9 levels, with the noise level measured at 65.1 dB when the highest setting is turned on, which is at a mid-level among the tested vehicles in the same class.

In the static vehicle vibration test, in both stationary and loaded states after starting, the vibration value at the steering wheel position of the 2025 Li Auto i6 remains at 0, while the vibration values of both the front and rear seats are 0.1 mm/s and remain unchanged, with a slight actual tactile sensation.

In addition, we also conducted tests on the parking radar, lights/visibility, control system, tires, sunroof, seats, and trunk. After testing, the seat cushion length of both the front and rear seats of the 2025 Li Auto i6 reached the upper level of the same class, providing a comfortable riding experience. The test vehicle is equipped with Michelin e·PRIMACY series tires, which feature low noise and low rolling resistance, with specifications of 265/45 R21. Comparatively, the angle of the field of view of the side exterior mirrors did not reach the average level of models in the same class and needs optimization.

02 |Subjective feelings

The project involves several reviewers providing subjective evaluations of the actual performance of a new car in both static and dynamic aspects. The static aspects include four major parts: exterior, interior, space, and human-machine interaction. The dynamic aspects consist of acceleration, braking, steering, chassis suspension, and safety. Ultimately, the overall score is given with comprehensive reference to the subjective evaluation opinions of the reviewers, reflecting the actual performance of the new car in terms of commodity from the perspective of subjective feelings.

In terms of exterior evaluation, the 2025 Li Xiang i6 focuses on innovation and functionality, integrating bionic design concepts with low drag technology. The shark-like front design is low and dynamic, while the three-dimensional star-ring headlights enhance visual recognition. The car's side adopts a "four-wheel and four-corner" layout to maximize interior space. The sloping rear window and fastback lines not only enhance the sporty feel but also optimize aerodynamic performance. Notably, the external rearview mirror adjustment uses physical button controls, making daily use very convenient. The front trunk lid features dual hydraulic support rods and is equipped with sound insulation cotton, indicating robust materials.

In the internal sensory evaluation, the 2025 Li Auto i6 achieves a balance between technological features and comfort. The center console adopts a dual-screen design, and the rear row offers an optional 21.4-inch ceiling-mounted screen, equipped with a small-sized LCD screen for independent control of front and rear functions. In terms of materials, the instrument panel and door panels are covered with large areas of soft leather, complemented by soft lines and rounded corner designs, creating a simple and high-end visual effect. Below the center console, there are dual 50W wireless charging pads for phones, positioned conveniently for use, and equipped with ventilation outlets. A slight drawback is that all USB ports in the vehicle are Type-C, which is relatively uniform in type.

In terms of space, thanks to its MPV-like body shape and larger dimensions, both front and rear rows offer ample headroom and legroom. The double bed mode supports voice control for one-touch switching, catering to specific scenarios such as napping and camping. For storage, the area under the central console features a hollow design, providing a large storage compartment. The glove box and storage compartments in the front and rear door panels also have considerable capacity. However, opting for a built-in refrigerator will affect the depth of the central armrest box, slightly compromising practicality.

Dual 15.7-inch LCD screens with a resolution of 3K offer clear and detailed display effects, paired with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip for excellent operational fluidity. The voice system deeply integrates AI interaction features to accurately interpret vague commands, making it more suitable for home use scenarios. Voice commands support a wide range of vehicle functions, including operating the air conditioning, windows, and seat massage.

The evaluated car is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and has the capability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. During actual driving, the accelerator pedal is moderately calibrated, the motor response is almost instantaneous, and the power output is abundant. The acceleration in the initial and mid-ranges is linear, with outstanding high-speed acceleration capability, balancing comfort and sportiness.

The brake pedal feels relatively soft, with gentle initial braking force, enhancing driving comfort in congested urban traffic. The energy recovery system offers multiple adjustment levels, and even in strong recovery mode, the vehicle decelerates smoothly without noticeable drag.

The steering feel offers three adjustable modes: Comfort, Standard, and Sport. In Sport mode, the steering damping is increased, and the slack is significantly reduced, but the overall tuning still leans towards a family-friendly style, making long drives less tiring. Due to the long wheelbase and lack of rear-wheel steering function, the vehicle's agility is average, and it feels somewhat cumbersome when making U-turns at intersections.

The chassis adopts a combination of front double wishbone independent suspension and rear five-link independent suspension. Through lightweight design, paired with dual-chamber air suspension and CDC dampers, it can effectively suppress body roll and enhance the fineness of shock absorption. Tests show that the chassis suspension thoroughly filters out small road vibrations, and the impact felt when passing over speed bumps is not strong, resulting in excellent driving quality.

The test vehicle is equipped with the Li Auto AD Max assisted driving system, which supports natural language commands such as "drive a bit faster" and "follow a bit farther" to adjust the following mode. In actual testing, acceleration and deceleration during following are quite natural, and the following distance supports multiple levels of adjustment. The nearest setting maintains a moderate distance from the vehicle in front, making it less likely to be cut in by other vehicles in urban areas.

Summary |

Based on the results of the various tests, it is concluded that the overall performance of the 2025 Li Auto i6 in both objective data and subjective experience has met the expectations of the expert review panel. In terms of objective data, the vehicle's craftsmanship is generally satisfactory, although there is room for improvement in the thickness of the overall paint film. In terms of subjective experience, the exterior and interior design balance a sense of technology and practicality, the AI interaction focuses more on a humanized experience, and the power and chassis tuning also demonstrate high-quality standards. However, there are downsides, such as slightly larger blind spots in the side rearview mirrors and average maneuverability. Overall, the market performance of the 2025 Li Auto i6 ranks in the upper tier among the same-class models tested.
