Wayne’s Wax offers complete high-tech Wayne’s Wax Roll-Tech Marine Exterior Waxing System, Pt. 1 protection for your boat. It’s clear that the elements are your biggest enemy. Of course, there are many geographic and environmental variables that cause damage. For example, in Washington State, mold is the biggest problem. Ironically, in Florida, the sun that everyone loves is actually an enemy to your boat. Are you close to an airport? Tree sap is another issue. What is needed to safeguard your vessel when shipping it overseas? What if your vessel will be in a boatyard for repairs? There, it will need protection from overspray and bottom paint sanding residue to prevent the appearance of black dots on the flat surfaces or rough overspray damage on other parts of the vessel. We believe that to qualify as a marine exterior maintenance specialist, a person or company must have at least 20 years of experience in all aspects of restoring and maintaining a vessel from the boot stripe up whether the surface is painted or gel-coat including, tempered or acrylic glass or stainless steel, etc. A specialist needs to have more than knowledge of what will cause damage to your boat. They need to understand: 1) how to solve any problems that arise and 2) how to prevent those problems from reoccurring. It takes many years to gain the experience needed to properly address the problems associated with owning and maintaining a boat. Owners are pleasantly surprised to learn that when their boat is maintainedcorrectly using the unique Wayne’s Wax high tech products and systems, we estimate thatthe boat will not have to be repainted for the next 15 to 20 years! The job of a Wayne’s Wax exterior maintenance specialist is far more complex than that of a detailer. Your specialist will restore the boat and then – equally important – coordinate efforts with the owner or captain to set up a maintenance program to proactively deal with the myriad of problems that are associated with owning a boat. As everyone knows, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. After a boat has been restored and professionally waxed, a crew or deck hand must be trained to use the advanced products and cutting edge systems that will provide ongoing protection for the boat. What to do and what to avoid: An exterior maintenance specialist can be a trusted source of information and will provide solid recommendations for products and practices to use as well as those potentially damaging ones to avoid. Damage claims: With over 20 years of experience, Wayne’s Wax has the required knowledge to complete insurance claims documentation if your boat has been damaged due to negligence (i.e., carelessness of a construction company and resultant damage from concrete, stucco, and paint residue on construction sites and repainting of bridges and buildings nearby). Furthermore, should there ever be a dispute, your exterior maintenance professional can be your expert witness in court. The exterior maintenance specialist has two goals. The first is to make and keep your boat the most beautiful and best-protected boat in the marina. The second is to ensure the highest resale value when you are ready to trade up. With a well-designed program of ongoing maintenance, you will never need to play catch-up. What you can expect from Wayne’s Wax products and procedures: Save money for the owner. Keep the Captain happy. Make the crew’s job easier and more efficient. Everything about Wayne’s Wax™ – both products and application – is different than what anyone has been accustomed to. It’s important to understand that Wayne’s Wax products have been tested and developed over a long period. They work beautifully, and they have passed the test of time. Our Roll-Tech exterior maintenance Wayne’s Wax Roll-Tech Marine Exterior Waxing System, Pt. 1 system, Part 1, is a state of the art system that provides a UV protective coating far superior to anything else currently on the market. The ultraviolet absorbers and stabilizers increase resistance to marine exposure, and our proprietary Roll-Tech application technology allows the polymer wax to be applied in an efficient and cost-effective way. It is engineered for maximum durability, high UV protection, and remarkable luster. No longer must your crew use the traditional and inexact method of waxing a boat in two-foot square areas at a time and doing so controlled by the intensity of the sun. Wayne’s Wax Roll-Tech can be quickly rolled on the entire vessel directly in the sun and in temperatures as high as 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, when the wax starts to dry, you can have visual confirmation that every square inch of the boat has been covered. This assures you that your money is being well spent. When Roll-Tech is applied, the covalent bonding formula enters the microscopic pores of the surface being treated. It features the unique combination of ease of application and extreme durability. Wayne’s Wax Roll-Tech amino functional polymer wax is compatible with all painted and gel-coat finishes. It also protects stainless steel, aluminum and acrylic glass. It leaves all the applied surfaces with a fantastic finish and ultimate protection. After completion, just run the back of your hand over the surface. You can feel the difference! Wayne’s Wax Roll-Tech is efficient allowing deadlines to be met. Wayne’s Wax application is not affected by weather – by heat, morning dew or even rain. For dark colored hulls, Roll-Tech should be applied in the shade. By following a Wayne’s Wax scheduled maintenance program, you can greatly reduce costly respraying by extending the exterior life of your boat. The economical and time-saving Wayne’s Wax Hydro Foamer system can be used to apply the Multi-Layer Boat Wash. “Multi-Layer” means just that. The wash creates a polymer UV Protective barrier over the top of the applied wax and enhances protection while cleaning. The more you wash your boat, the more protection it gets! Before application of the foam, simply rinse the surface with water to remove dust and loose dirt and then start the foaming process while still wet. To begin: fill the canister with the Multi-Layer, and you’re good to go. As the water runs through the system, the hydro foamer will draw the exact amount of Multi-Layer needed. Apply the foam in manageable sections, (to prevent drying before you are finished) and then complete the job by going over the surface with an extra soft blue brush. Final step is to rinse with water. Please note: providing you are using a Spot Zero washdown system, there is no need to chamois the boat except glass, stainless steel, flat surfaces and under the overhang. Wayne's Wax Hydro Foamer BONUS! By following the above procedure, the Hydro Foamer system will also remove salt spray. You will never have to use harsh salt spray removers again On the Metering Tip Link page, you’ll find information on assembling the Hydro Foamer & the tip to use. See WaynesWax.com/mtc . Boat owners are frequently surprised that after the Wayne’s Wax Multi-Layer Boat Wash and Polymer UV Protective Barrier, Part 2 has been applied, water will “sheet off” instead of “beading.” This is because of the nature of the protective wash/coating. The sheeting will assure you that the marine wash is functioning properly to protect your boat. Wayne’s Wax cannot emphasize enough the importance of investingin a water softening Spot Zero washdown system • After the Wayne’s Wax Roll-Tech Marine Exterior Waxing System – Part 1 has been completed, then apply the Multi-Layer Boat Wash and Polymer UV Protective Barrier, Part 2 using the Wayne’s Wax Hydro Foamer. Wayne’s Wax Multi-Layer Boat Wash & Polymer UV Protective Barrier- Pt. 2 • This innovative multi-layer treatment uses polymer-layering technology that yields amazing results! Not only does the Multi-Layer Marine Wash clean beautifully and provide great UV protection, this covalent bonding formula resists and repels minerals, salts, oil-based residues, pollution and bird droppings that may stain your boat. When used weekly, the wash makes cleaning much easier while extending the life of the applied Wayne’s Wax Roll-Tech Marine Exterior Waxing System – Part 1 . (Resistance to irritants may vary depending on where the boat is located such as near an airport, freeway, etc.) • Over the years, I have seen many companies/owners/crews use ordinary cleaners to maintain the boats’ exteriors. Many of these cleaners use a degreasing formula. While the degreasing formula may do a good job of cleaning, ironically, with repeated use, it may actually strip the protective coatings that have been applied. This will not happen with Wayne’s Wax Multi-Layer Boat Wash and Polymer UV Protective Barrier, Part 2 . You will get better protection at a lower cost! • Note: Curing time after using the Wayne’s Wax Multi-Layer Boat Wash on your boat is about 15 minutes depending on temperature and humidity. Due to the natural effects of water evaporation, your Wayne’s Wax representative will strongly recommend that you should not wash your boats directly in the sun between 11 am and 4 pm. And this caution is especially important for dark colored hulls/boats which should be washed before 11 am or after 4 pm or simply on the shaded side of the boat. Finally: it is also important to wash your boat every one or two weeks to maintain the surface protection from the Multi-Layer Wash. We have engineered a durable and long-lasting protective coating that has been tested and used in all weather conditions for over 10 years! This unique, high technology product protects against boatyard contaminants such as overspray, bottom paint sanding residue, airborne metal particles that cause rust spots, ultraviolet damage, and airport jet engine residue fallout. It literally wraps your boat in protection. Liquid Shield Wrap can also be applied on the aft of the hull and transom before a long voyage to protect your boat from both engine exhaust and generator black residue while under power. You can also roll on Liquid Shield Wrap to provide great protection for your boat during inland transport and shipping abroad. It can also be applied to the boat to protect it from UV damage (oxidation). Wayne’s Wax Liquid Shield Wrap Protective Coating Recommended industries for application: Aircraft, Marine, Automotive, and even Amusement Park Rides How to apply: Roll on Liquid Shield using a 6 or 9-inch foam roller. You will see a very thick coating. Approximate drying time = 1 hour (depending on weather and humidity) Removal: For removal, use a boat soap and a soft brush or sponge and go over it with a white terrycloth towel or microfiber cloth. Area of application: If you use the 6-inch foam roller, you should cover approximately 600 / 800 square feet per gallon. At times, you may need a thicker coating so it’s best to use a 1/4 or 3/8 nap roller – The bigger the nap, the thicker the application and more material is used. (A thicker application is recommended for boatyards, UV protection and shipping). Application: Can be applied directly in the sun on white and light colors up to 110 degrees. If your aircraft, boat or auto has dark elements, it is recommended that you apply Liquid Shield Wrap under cover or on the shaded portion. Easy to apply and remove. Resists and repels paint overspray, minerals, salt, oil-based residues, pollution, bird droppings. Great UV protection once applied. The applied coating will not be affected by weather such as bright sunshine, morning dew or hard rain. Reduce pa
