About our Fluoride water filters . If you are opposed to water fluoridation but can't get your city water company to stop adding fluoride to the water like some cities in the US (Portland, OR; Montrose, CO; Parkland, WA; Boyne, MI and etc.), then your only alternative is to add a water filter system to remove fluroide. See What's KDF . The process for removing chlorine and heavy metals is called oxidation reduction. Chlorine is neutralized and heavy metals like lead and mercury plate to the surface of the KDF. And, no chemicals are added to the media. KDF was also recommended by Dr. Andrew Weil in his book Eight Weeks to Optimum Health . He also recommended using a KDF shower filter stating "the effects of chlorinated water may include an increased risk of cancer."
