I am 21 years old right now, m y birthday is January 28th, 2002. I started Waist Beauty when I was 18. My business started off with only waist beads and the other items came alone shortly after. At the time, I needed a name that was unique, straighforward and clear. I've always been a really creative person. Growing up I would create items with gimp (plastic shoelaces), bottle tabs, and rainbow loom. I was even a part of my school's knitting club for a couple of years! As I got older, I fell in love with waist beads and all that they represent. The current goal that I have for my business is to start selling in stores! When I first started all of this I was working two part-time jobs and I was a full-time student, in my first year of college. I was doing the production, packaging, marketing, customer service, and so much more. All of that was definitely a lot for me, both physically and mentally. But when you have a great support system of friends and family, and you stay focused and persevere, success is inevitable! I grew up with the mindset of a business owner. I was always a very independent young lady and always knew that I didn't want to work for someone else. I always wanted to know how things worked so that I could learn how to do things for myself. When I was in elementary school, as early as the second grade, I became an entrepreneur. I would collect rocks, sea shells, bottle covers, and pop can tabs, clean them up, paint, and sell them. I remember, I would wait for Pizza Friday or those scholastic book fairs, when I knew that the other kids would have money with them. Very smart businesswoman if I do say so myself! I’m constantly trying to come up with new ways and ideas to become successful and create lasting generational wealth. Next, I will develop and start new businesses that will aid in that goal!
