Our History Verlo Mattress is a home-grown, Wisconsin-based company built on Midwestern values started in 1958 by two friends who began making custom-crafted mattresses for their furniture store in Illinois. Their mattresses soon proved even more popular than their furniture, earning a reputation for unbeatable value and comfort. Shortly thereafter, the headquarters were relocated to Wisconsin. The company was renamed by combining the first names of their wives: Verna + Lois = Verlo. More than 60 years later, we’re proud to stay true to our roots. Our Factories The very first Verlo mattress was built mere minutes away from the store where the mattresses were sold. To this day, our mattress company continues that tradition.
