OUR STORY The Heart of Vencasa Since 1985, the Pharmaline brand has served the comfort and wellness needs of the refined South African sleeper and in 2017 the brand was given a facelift and a reinvigorated sense of purpose with its rebranding as Vencasa. Vencasa is a South African retailer specialising in luxury bedding and sleep solutions. We offer a wide range of products, including mattresses, pillows, bedding accessories, and sleep technology devices. With over three decades of in-house experience sourcing premium quality products from the world’s most renowned bed and bedding brands, we now partner with sleep specialists from across the globe and put that experience and expertise to work for the local market. TIMELINE Our History 1985 Our first trade show 1999 Our name changed to Pharmaline Products Incorporated. 2003 Secured Tempur Distribution in South Africa. 2004 Secured market leadership with Human Touch and Homedics in personal massage. 2009 World’s first Tempur branded store launched in Design Quarter, Johannesburg. 2012 Opened new service and distrobution hub; TEMPUR International acquires Sealy. 2013 Introduced customised furniture ranges and speciality lines. 2015 Opened the world’s largest Tempur store 485m2 at The Crescent, Durban. 2016 Launched Vencasa in South Africa, combining quality and value in home living. 2017 Acquired the exclusive distribution rights for Magniflex in South Africa. 2018 Introduced the Malouf Brand to South Africa. 2020 Vencasa flagship owned retail store opens in Fourways. 2021 New generation Pillow Bar launched to the SA market in Fourways Mall. 2022 First company to secure exclusive rights to Talalay Latex in Africa. 2023 Introduction of the Elizabeth Collection to the South African market. 2024 Diversified into lounge lifestyle with SUFFA’s South African launch.
