Our owner, Michael Jones, is a certified Pedorthist who has worked in shoes and orthotics for more than 30 years. What is a "Certified Pedorthist"? A Certified Pedorthist (or C. Ped) is a specialist in using footwear - shoes, shoe modifications, foot orthoses, and other pedorthic devices - to solve problems in or related to the foot and lower limb. When a foot requires medical attention, footwear becomes a factor in the patient's treatment, recovery, or rehabilitation. It's a team approach: While the doctor treats your foot, the C. Ped addresses your footwear needs. I don't need a doctor, but my feet sometimes bother me. Can a Certified Pedorthist help? Yes. Many people can benefit from proper footwear and or pedorthic modifications to make their shoes and their feet more comfortable.
