Hi, I'm Meghan! Raised in the Valley of the Sun, I have been inspired by our varying elevations of Arizona beauty since I was a young child. I've always believed that art is necessary for the soul. "I was created to create." My favorite types of art combine mixed mediums with natural resources in a sustainable fashion. I also love photography, and have been shooting since I was a teen. I've been a maker for as long as I can remember, and started my first business in 2012. I was a woodworker, seamstress, and drawing artist. By 2014, I graduated college with a major in Education and my business was put on the back burner as I navigated life as a full-time middle school teacher. I taught for several years before starting my next venture in 2020. Valley + Vetiver was born, and it fortunately took off quickly! Valley represents the Phoenix valley that I live in, and vetiver is a reference to my favorite candle scent. I love candles! Years later and I'm still just as passionate about creating polymer clay pieces as I was when I started. I now work full-time as an artist and wouldn't change it for the world. Education is important to me, so I'm constantly learning and evolving in my skill set to offer my customers the highest-quality pieces possible. I also aim to use recyclable and reusable materials and packaging. It's not a secret that polymer clay earrings have become a saturated business space. My priority is to make authentically creative pieces in my own style, while lifting up and celebrating the styles of other makers.
