She is a cute and fashionable monkey, who enjoys dressing up and participating in different kinds of parties. MiMi also loves to travel and taste cuisine from around the world. Her dream is to be a fashion stylist, and her favorite cities are Shanghai, New York and Paris. Tomo is about the joy of discovery and exploring the natural world with creative inventions! Tomo, his best friend Maya, and his trusty dog Captain, star in a picturebook series that Up Studios plans to develop into an animated series. Trevor created Peter Bear for the Peninsula Hotel Group, which opened its flagship Shanghai hotel in 2010, but has been operating hotels in Beverly Hills, New York, and around the world for over 70 years. In addition to writing and illustrating a children’s book and hosting multiple family events each year, Trevor also designed the Peter Bear toy, which has become one of the best-selling gifts at the hotel. Commissioned by Kerry Properties, Kerry Kangaroo is an original character created by Trevor Lai for a multimillion-dollar retail development in China. In addition to designing the character, Trevor also oversaw the marketing strategy, which included promotions such as the world’s first “colouring cars” for Mercedes-Benz SMART brand.
