FINALLY, A SOLUTION TO COFFEE WASTE Coffee is currently the second most traded commodity on the market, yet nearly 90% of the coffee bean remains as waste following coffee beverage brewing. We have developed a process to create COPOXEE™ , biobased coffee oil epoxides. This material solves problems related to bioplastics production as a high performance plasticizer. Our final goal is to establish spent coffee grounds as a sustainable source of bio-based plastics.
