Features of PC Double-layer Sunlight Panels
1. Light Transmission: The light transmission rate of PC panels can reach 89%, comparable to the beauty of glass. UV-coated panels will not yellow, fog, or lose transparency under sunlight; after ten years, the light loss is only 6%, while PVC's loss rate is as high as 15%—20%, and fiberglass is 12%-20%.
2. Impact Resistance: The impact strength is 250-300 times that of ordinary glass, 30 times that of acrylic panels of the same thickness, and 2-20 times that of tempered glass. Dropping a 3kg hammer from two meters will not cause cracks, earning it the titles of "unbreakable glass" and "ringing steel".
3. UV Protection: One side of the PC panel is coated with UV-resistant (UV) coating, while the other side has anti-condensation treatment, combining UV resistance, thermal insulation, and anti-drip functions. It can block UV rays and is suitable for protecting valuable artworks and exhibits from UV damage.
4. Lightweight: The specific gravity is only half that of glass, saving costs in transportation, handling, installation, and supporting frames.
5. Fire Resistance: According to national standard GB50222—95, PC panels are classified as flame-retardant grade B1. The ignition point of PC panels is 580℃; they self-extinguish after the fire source is removed and do not produce toxic gases when burned, nor do they promote the spread of fire.
6. Flexibility: Can be cold-bent on-site according to design drawings to form arches, semi-circular roofs, and windows. The minimum bending radius is 175 times the thickness of the panel, and it can also be hot-bent.
7. Sound Insulation: PC panels have significant sound insulation effects, providing better sound insulation than glass and acrylic panels of the same thickness. Under the same thickness conditions, the sound insulation of PC panels is 3-4dB higher than that of glass. It is internationally recognized as a material for highway sound barriers.
8. Energy Efficiency: It keeps cool in summer and warm in winter. PC panels have a lower thermal conductivity (K value) than ordinary glass and other plastics, with thermal insulation effectiveness 7%-25% higher than that of the same glass, achieving up to 49% insulation. This significantly reduces heat loss, making it an environmentally friendly material for buildings with heating equipment.
9. Temperature Adaptability: PC panels do not become brittle at -100℃ and do not soften at 135℃. Their mechanical and physical properties do not change significantly in harsh environments.
10. Weather Resistance: PC panels can maintain stable physical properties within the temperature range of -40℃ to 120℃. In artificial climate aging tests lasting 4000 hours, the yellowing degree is 2, and the reduction in light transmission is only 0.6%.
11. Anti-condensation: When the outdoor temperature is 0℃ and the indoor temperature is 23℃ with indoor relative humidity below 80%, the inner surface of the material does not condense.
