Under conditions of 70℃ working temperature and 1.2 MPa working pressure, the continuous service life can reach over 50 years. 4. Lightweight, high-strength, and low fluid resistance: The density of PP-R pipes is only 1/8 that of metal pipes, with pressure test strength reaching up to 5 MPa, and they exhibit good toughness and impact resistance. Due to their smooth inner walls, which do not rust or scale, fluid resistance is low. The main technical indicators of PP-R pipes are as follows: Density 0.9 g/cm³, Elastic modulus (20℃) 800 MPa, Coefficient of thermal expansion 1.8×10^-4/K, Thermal conductivity 0.2 W/(m.K), Longitudinal shrinkage rate 2%, Impact test failure rate ≤ 10%, Hydraulic test short-term (1h), hoop stress 16 MPa, no leakage, long-term at 95℃, 1000h, hoop stress 3.5 MPa, no leakage. PP-R pipes not only have the general characteristics of plastic pipes such as lightweight, corrosion resistance, non-scaling, and long service life, but also have the following main features: 1. Non-toxic and hygienic: The raw material molecules of PP-R consist only of carbon and hydrogen elements, with no harmful or toxic elements present. It is hygienic and reliable, suitable not only for hot and cold water pipelines but also for pure drinking water systems. 2. Thermal insulation and energy-saving: The thermal conductivity coefficient of PP-R pipes is 0.21 W/mk, which is only 1/200 of that of steel pipes. 3. Good heat resistance: The Vicat softening point of PP-R pipes is 131.5℃. The operating temperature can reach 95℃, meeting the requirements for hot water systems in building drainage specifications. 4. Long service life: Under working conditions of 70℃ and working pressure (P.N) 1.0 MPa, the service life of PP-R pipes can reach over 50 years; at room temperature (20℃), the service life can reach over 100 years.
