Steel Wire Mesh Reinforced Plastic Composite Pipe is a newly improved type of steel skeleton plastic composite pipe. This type of pipe is also known as SRTP pipe. This new type of pipeline is made from high-strength plastic-coated steel wire mesh and thermoplastic polyethylene as raw materials. The wire-wound mesh serves as the skeleton reinforcement of the polyethylene plastic pipe, with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) as the matrix. High-performance HDPE modified bonding resin tightly connects the steel wire skeleton with the inner and outer layers of high-density polyethylene, resulting in excellent composite effects. Because the high-strength steel wire reinforcement is encapsulated within continuous thermoplastic, this composite pipe overcomes the shortcomings of both steel pipes and plastic pipes while retaining the advantages of both. The steel wire mesh reinforced plastic composite pipe, made from advanced materials and production processes, has higher pressure resistance. At the same time, this composite pipe features excellent flexibility, making it suitable for long-distance underground water supply and gas transmission pipeline systems. The fittings used for the steel wire mesh reinforced polyethylene composite pipe are polyethylene electrofusion fittings. During connection, the internal heating element of the fitting melts the outer layer of plastic of the pipe and the inner layer of plastic of the fitting, reliably connecting them together. 1. Overcomes the rapid stress cracking phenomenon of plastic pipes. Due to the composite structure of steel and plastic materials, rapid stresses that are difficult for plastic pipes to overcome will not occur. 2. Has strength, rigidity, and impact resistance that exceed those of ordinary pure plastic pipes, with characteristics similar to steel pipes, such as low linear expansion coefficient and creep resistance. 3. Lightweight, easy to install, and uses electric heat fusion joints for pipe connections, with strong axial tensile capability. The connection technology is mature and reliable, and the variety and specifications of fittings are fully developed, allowing for connections with various other pipes and valve equipment. 4. Double-sided corrosion resistance, with the same anti-corrosion performance as plastic pipes, and high temperature and corrosion resistance, along with a low thermal conductivity coefficient. 5. Excellent structure, where the reinforced skeleton of the pipe and the inner and outer layers of plastic are mutually accommodating to form a whole, eliminating concerns about delamination between the inner and outer layers of plastic and the reinforcement. 6. Smooth inner wall, no scaling, with a pipeline head loss 30% lower than that of steel pipes. 7. The pipe is designed for an overall service life of 50 years. 8. Different pressure-rated pipes can be manufactured by adjusting the diameter of the steel wire and the thickness of the plastic layer.
