Operating Procedures:
The underwater pelletizing equipment operates at a high temperature (up to 300°C) and requires approximately one hour to cool down after the heat medium is stopped. Therefore, personnel working near the pelletizer must wear protective clothing and heat-insulating gloves.
2. Before starting the machine, staff should check if any rotating parts of the underwater pelletizing equipment are loose to prevent injury during operation.
3. Check if the phenolic board supporting the steel belt is severely worn.
4. The operator must manually rotate and test the outer drum before starting the machine to prevent overload.
5. Before starting the operation, the operator must inspect the upper and lower surfaces of the steel belt, remove any debris from the steel belt, and strictly prohibit any foreign objects on the upper surface of the steel belt from being carried into the space between the steel belt and the drum.

8. The outer rotating drum is a thin-walled cylinder that must be handled with care. Any impact could cause deformation, resulting in the loss of its pelletizing function. It is strictly forbidden to heat the outer rotating drum with fire.

Main motor torque too high
Cause Analysis:
Failures in the oil lubrication system, poor alignment between the main motor output shaft and the gearbox input/output shaft, and vibrations from the motor and clutch can all damage the main motor bearings, leading to excessive torque. Additionally, an overly heavy feeding load or poor material melting can also result in excessive torque on the main motor.
Solution:
Regularly inspect and clean the lubrication system, measure the main motor bearings with a vibration meter and infrared thermometer, and create trend charts. If the trend values are exceeded, measure whether the no-load current or power of the main motor exceeds the specified value to determine if the bearing needs to be replaced. Regularly check the alignment between the output shaft of the main motor and the input shaft of the gearbox, and check the alignment after three months of operation or after replacing the bearing. Conduct electrical tests to identify the cause of rotor imbalance; perform vibration velocity testing on the clutch, and if it exceeds the specified value, readjust the dynamic balance. Regularly inspect the barrel heating and cooling systems to ensure uniform heating and complete melting of the material. If, at the moment the extruder starts, the main motor power curve and melt pressure curve suddenly increase, this indicates that the feeding amount of the feeding system is too high, and the feeding amount should be reduced.
Main motor torque too low
Cause Analysis:
A failure in the feeding system that causes the twin screws to run idle will result in excessively low torque of the main motor.
Solution:
Check and determine if there is a malfunction in the additive system or the main material feeding system, and clear any blockages.
Friction clutch failure
Cause Analysis:
The instantaneous start voltage of the main motor being too low, overheating of the friction disc and friction plates, aging of the friction disc and friction plates, and insufficient air pressure on the friction disc can all lead to the disengagement of the clutch.
Solution:
When starting the main motor, it should be done outside of peak electricity usage times, and the feeding load should be reduced. The interval for restarting should be at least 30 minutes; during summer, if the main motor is started more than twice, the interval should be extended, or a fan should be used to force cooling. Use instrument air to blow and a cloth to clean the surface of the friction plates and discs. If there is significant wear or a "glazing" phenomenon on the surface, the friction disc and friction plates should be replaced. Confirm that the air pressure value can ensure the friction disc and friction plates are in contact.
