Understanding RunSoo Floor Heating Pipes
Underfloor heating generally involves two installation methods: wet installation and dry installation.
1. Wet installation involves leveling the substrate with cement mortar before laying a polystyrene foam board with a thickness of no less than20mm (with an aluminum foil layer on top). Heating pipes are then installed on top of the aluminum foil layer, which are fixed to the insulation layer using plastic nails. A filling layer of pea gravel or fine aggregate concrete is poured on top, and the final surface finish can be tiles or wooden flooring as per user requirements.
2. Dry installation places heating pipes in the cavities between the insulation layer and the suspended wooden (or bamboo) flooring without any infill material. This method overcomes the drawbacks present in wet installation, as it does not damage the floor structure. Factory prefabrication allows for quick construction and guaranteed quality.
Jiangsu RunSoo Pipeline Technology Co., Ltd. is a renowned innovator in the industry, rapidly developing under the trends of scientific advancement in various countries. Traditional plastic pipes used for transporting hot water or steam can deform and fail to maintain a straight alignment, which does not effectively block ultraviolet radiation and oxygen from corroding the pipes and associated metal components and radiators, leading to a significantly reduced lifespan. Jiangsu RunSoo has implemented numerous innovations and technical support for pipeline solutions, developing a new generation of practical pipes based on traditional materials. Thus, the RunSoo brand pipes and fittings were born.
RunSoo is located in the Taolan Chemical Park, Suining, Xuzhou, Jiangsu. Established in2010, it covers an area of over60 acres, with a factory area of20,000 square meters and a registered capital of51.8 million yuan. The company mainly focuses on the R&D and production of various plastic, rubber, aluminum alloy lined composite pipes, and plastic-steel pipes. Currently, there are11 extrusion lines and3 injection molding machines, with an annual production capacity of over10,000 tons. The products cover areas such as residential water supply, municipal water supply and drainage, agricultural irrigation, gas transmission, electrical conduits, geothermal heat pumps, and industrial special pipelines.
EVOH/PE-RT Oxygen Barrier Pipes / Radiant Floor Heating Pipes: Why useEVOH andPE-RT to manufacture composite pipes? Because common plastic pipes are permeable to oxygen, and as the temperature rises, the oxygen permeability of the plastic pipes becomes even more pronounced, leading to an increase in the oxygen content in the hot water as the temperature rises.
Technical data shows that when the temperature of hot water is40℃ and the oxygen permeation rate is greater than0.1mg/(L.day), it can promote bacterial growth and cause serious corrosion to metal heaters, valves, fittings, radiators, and pumps in the heating system. Therefore, in Europe, oxygen barrier plastic pipes are widely used in hot water systems.
RunSoo usesEVOH as an oxygen barrier layer forPE-RT pipes, which provide excellent weather resistance and gas barrier properties, suitable for direct drinking water and heating system water delivery.
