Ulanqab tap water meter is a new type of smart water meter. It uses IC card as a medium, and utilizes modern microelectronics technology, sensing technology, and IC card technology to calculate and transmit user's water consumption data, thereby achieving prepayment control, aiming to achieve the purpose of "pay first, then use water". Because data transmission and transaction settlement are done through IC card, it can transition from staff meter reading and charging to users paying at the service hall. In addition, in real life, the installation, quality, and after-sales service of the card water meter are also issues of concern to users.
How can users determine the quality of a water meter from its appearance when purchasing a water meter?
First, look at the water meter shell
The outer surface of the card water meter shell should be smooth, free of cracks, sand holes, and other defects. If the outer surface of the shell has these defects, it means that the quality of the meter is not good. The weight of DN15 should be above 0.8kg, and DN20 should be above 1.0kg
IC card water meter, RF card water meter, card water meter, multi-card water meter, universal card water meter and other electronic water meters all achieve water measurement and control through electronic motherboard and IC card technology, so these water meters can be called smart water meters;
Second, remote transmission water meter, remote opto-electrical direct-reading water meter, remote pulse water meter and other water meters. These water meters transmit pulse signals from the base meter to the meter reading terminal to achieve remote transmission function. This mode belongs to a remote meter reading system, not necessarily implemented by smart water meters. There is also a type of remote transmission water meter system where the base meter is a smart water meter, and the remote transmission water meter terminal can control the water consumption by transmitting signals. The base meter of this type of remote transmission water meter uses smart IC card water meters. Therefore, whether remote transmission water meters are smart water meters needs to be further subdivided, instead of arbitrarily confirming whether they are smart water meters!
Third, anti-drip water meter, there are two types of anti-drip water meters, one is volumetric anti-drip water meter, and the other is small hole jet anti-drip water meter. These two types of water meters are designed to prevent "leakage, seepage, drip, leakage" in the tap water pipeline network. The design principle is to prevent a drop of water from leaking out. These water meters do not have special requirements for microelectronics technology, so objectively speaking, anti-drip water meters are not smart water meters.
After all, in fact, there are not many smart water meters. For example, corrosion-resistant water meters for the chemical industry, high-pressure water meters for the petroleum industry, large-diameter water meters for industrial areas, etc., are not smart water meters. They are special water meters designed and produced using different materials according to different needs. I believe that in the near future, all water meters will be compatible with microelectronics technology. At that time, all water meters will be called smart water meters. We won't have to worry about this anymore!
