The emergence of smart water meters has replaced the original old-style water meters and has become an indispensable part of people's lives. So how to install the Tonghua IC Card Water Meter? What should be noted during installation?
1. When selecting a smart water meter, it should be based on the flow rate that the pipeline usually uses being less than or close to the water meter's common flow rate; the meter size should not be determined solely by the diameter of the pipeline.
2. Before installing the smart water meter, remove stones, silt, and other debris from the pipeline to prevent damage to or malfunction of the water meter. If there is a lot of debris in the pipeline or the water quality is poor, a filter should be installed before the water meter; the filter should be regularly checked and cleaned to timely remove accumulated debris.
3. The smart water meter should be protected from exposure, contamination, and flooding, and frost protection measures should be taken during freezing periods.
4. The smart water meter should be installed horizontally, with the dial facing up, and the arrow on the meter shell should align with the direction of water flow in the pipeline; to ensure accurate measurement, the water meter should be installed away from the water pump, and necessary straight pipe sections or equivalent flow straighteners should be installed above and below the water meter. The length of the upstream straight pipe section should be no less than 10 times the nominal diameter of the water meter, and the length of the downstream straight pipe section should be no less than 5 times the nominal diameter of the water meter.
5. To compensate for length errors that may occur during the installation of the smart water meter and to facilitate the disassembly of the water meter, a corresponding diameter expansion joint can be selected for the downstream side of the water meter.
6. To facilitate the maintenance of the smart water meter, O-type ball valves should be installed at appropriate positions upstream and downstream of the water meter. A check valve should be installed downstream of the water meter if needed.
