how exactly is a PE water tank made? Let’s take a detailed look at the manufacturing process of PE water tanks.
A plastic water tank is made by placing PE polyethylene-grade raw material powder into a rotational molding mold, allowing the PE powder to rotate around two mutually horizontal axes at 90 degrees,
while being heated. During the production rotation of the PE water tank, the PE powder continuously rolls around,
creating friction between themselves and the drag of the mold surface on the PE powder, causing the PE powder to continually move outward into the mold until gravity allows the PE powder to cross
over to the opposite side of the mold wall, with the PE powder fully rotating with the rotational molding mold.
Through repeated heating and rotational cycles, the PE powder fuses and evenly adheres to the inner wall of the rotational mold, forming a solid mass. Once we achieve the required thickness, we then
cool it, and finally, the PE water tank is formed and removed from the mold as a hollow plastic water tank.
Compared to traditional hollow plastic water tank manufacturing techniques, rotational molding of PE water tanks has significant advantages in terms of production equipment costs, manufacturing cycles, and flexible processing.
Therefore, rotational molding plastic water tanks are the preferred solution for small-batch production of various specifications of fully enclosed or semi-enclosed hollow seamless containers.
