Laying

1. Before laying the geotextile, there should be corresponding qualified acceptance certificate for the civil engineering.

2. Before cutting the geotextile, the relevant dimensions should be accurately measured, and then cut according to the actual size, generally not cut according to the dimensions shown in the diagram, should be numbered piece by piece, and detailed records should be kept on a dedicated form.

3. When laying the geotextile, efforts should be made to minimize the number of welds, save raw materials as much as possible while ensuring quality. It is also easy to ensure quality.

4. The overlap width of the seams between membranes should generally not be less than10cm, usually arranged in parallel to the direction of the major slope, that is, along the slope direction.

5. Usually at corners and irregular sections, the length of the seams should be minimized. Except for special requirements, on slopes greater than1:6, within a range of 1.5 meters from the top slope or stress concentration area, welds should be avoided as much as possible.

6. During the laying of geotextiles, artificial wrinkles should be avoided. When the temperature is low, the geotextile should be pulled tight and flattened.

7. After the geotextile is laid, walking on the membrane surface and moving tools should be minimized. Objects that can cause harm to the impermeable membrane should not be placed on or carried on the membrane to avoid accidental damage to the membrane.
