Construction method
Geomembrane should not be dragged or pulled hard during transportation to avoid puncture by sharp objects.
1. It should be extended from the bottom to the high position, not pulled too tightly, leaving a margin of 1.50% for local sinking and stretching. Considering the actual situation of this project, the slope should be laid from top to bottom;
2. The vertical joints of adjacent two panels should not be on the same horizontal line, and should be staggered by more than 1m;
3. The vertical joints should be at least 1.50m away from the dam foot and bend, and should be set on the plane;
4. Slope first, then field bottom;
5. When laying the slope, the direction of film stretching should be basically parallel to the major slope line.
Laying
1. Before laying the geomembrane, corresponding qualified inspection certificate documents for civil engineering should be obtained.
2. Before cutting the geomembrane, the relevant dimensions should be accurately measured, and then cut according to the actual size, generally not cut according to the dimensions shown on the drawing, should be numbered piece by piece, and detailed records should be kept on a dedicated form.
3. When laying the geomembrane, efforts should be made to minimize the number of welds, save raw materials as much as possible while ensuring quality. At the same time, quality can be easily guaranteed.
4. The lap width of the seams between membranes should generally not be less than 10cm, usually the direction of welds is parallel to the major slope, that is, arranged along the slope direction.
5. Usually, at corners and irregular sections, the length of the joints should be shortened as much as possible. Except for special requirements, within a range of 1.5 meters from the top slope or stress concentration area on a slope greater than 1:6, welds should be avoided as much as possible.
6. During the laying of the geomembrane, artificial wrinkles should be avoided. When the temperature is low, it should be tightened and laid flat.
7. After the geomembrane is laid, walking on the membrane surface and moving tools should be minimized. Objects that can cause harm to the impermeable membrane should not be placed on the membrane or walked on the membrane to avoid accidental damage to the membrane.
