PE water tanks, although a type of plastic container, generally refer to large water tanks. The tank body is formed in one piece using the rotational molding process, making it less prone to leakage and ensuring high safety.
Uses of PE water tanks: There are generally two types. One is for holding water, and the other is for containing corrosive liquids or other chemical liquids. Depending on the different uses, we make corresponding adjustments during production:
1. Material selection: The material for holding water must be completely environmentally friendly and non-toxic; while tanks for storing corrosive liquids must be acid-alkali resistant and highly corrosive-resistant.
2. Color selection: For tanks intended for drinking water, we generally recommend using the original color. If other colors are required, the tank body needs to undergo a secondary material injection during production for dual-layer processing, where the outer layer is colored and the inner layer is the original color. For tanks containing chemical liquids, especially those that react or evaporate upon exposure to light, the tank body is usually colored blue or black. Special marking colors such as red, yellow, or orange can also be processed.
3. Accessory selection: For strong acids and strong bases, PE material flanges will be used. For weak acids, bases, or water, PVC or ABS material accessories can be selected, depending on actual usage needs. When the product is shipped, we will install the accessories in place; however, during transportation and unloading, the joints may become loose. Therefore, before use, please check the sealing performance of the joints. Note that the joints are made from resins such as PE, PVC, ABS, or nylon, and if tightened too much, the threads may become damaged.
4. Liquid level gauge selection: There are three common types of liquid level gauges: 1. Transparent PVC liquid level tube; 2. Magnetic flap level gauge; 3. Float level gauge. The transparent PVC tube liquid level gauge is inexpensive and provides an intuitive liquid level reading; the magnetic flap level gauge connects to the tank with flanges at both the top and bottom, forming a communicating vessel, allowing direct observation of the actual liquid level through a glass plate, but it is relatively costly; our company combines the structural features of the float and magnetic flap gauges to customize a top-mounted float magnetic flap level gauge according to customer needs, which is cost-effective and ensures accurate positioning, gaining wide recognition from customers.
5. Reinforcement sleeve selection: For PE storage tanks of 15 cubic meters or more, it is recommended to use metal reinforcement sleeves to avoid cracking at the tank openings. However, for smaller storage tanks containing heavy liquids or strong acids and bases, additional reinforcement sleeves may also be required.
