Brief Description:The twin-screw extruder side feeder is equipped with a multi-orifice gas-extracting isolation device, which connects to an external vacuum system to remove gases from the material. The inner cavity of the die head should be streamlined to ensure that the material can be extruded evenly along the flow path, avoiding overheating and decomposition due to stagnation. There must not be any abrupt narrowing in the die head, and there should be no dead zones or stagnation areas. The flow path should be as smooth as possible, with a recommended surface roughness Ra value of 0.4μm.
2. Sufficient compression ratio: The die head should be designed to generate enough compression ratio according to the different types of plastic products and plastic varieties, to eliminate the weld lines caused by the diverter supports and make the product dense.
3, Correct Cross-Sectional Shape Due to factors such as the properties of plastics, pressure, density, and shrinkage rate, there is a difference between the cross-sectional shape formed by the die of the machine head and the actual cross-sectional shape of the product. This factor must be considered in the design to ensure that the die of the machine head has a reasonable cross-sectional shape.
4. The design should feature a compact rhythm, easy disassembly and assembly. Under the condition of meeting mechanical performance, the die head should be designed to have a well-paced advancement, tight connections, uniform heat transfer, convenience for disassembly and assembly, and no material leakage.
5. Material selection should be reasonable; the die head should use steel with good corrosion resistance, wear resistance, tensile strength, and higher hardness. In some cases, it also needs to be chrome-plated according to the situation.
  Common faults:
Check the control panel of the equipment to see if there are any issues, such as the parameters of the feeder, whether the suction and discharge times are correct. If there is a problem here, it may not be able to suck material normally, and should be adjusted and resolved promptly.
2. Check the pneumatic pump to see if its compressed air source pressure meets the relevant regulations. In most cases, the air source pressure for a pneumatic pump is 6-7 MPa. If the pressure does not meet the requirements, check whether the air supply line needs to be replaced.
3. The inability to properly draw in material may also be due to the disassembly and reassembly activities of the machine, resulting in air leakage at the clamp between the top cover and the barrel, thus preventing normal material drawing operations.
4. Open the top cover, remove the filter plate, and observe if there is too much dust or any clumping on the filter element. These issues can lead to improper suction. To resolve this, simply clean it with compressed air.

1. For material batching and metered feeding, to ensure uniform and stable feeding and prevent material from flowing freely, it should be installed horizontally. For continuous feeding of general materials, it can be installed at a 10° downward angle. For sticky materials and those with higher moisture content, it can be installed at a 15° downward angle.
2. After installation, a clearance of 20mm should be left for movement, it should be level horizontally, and the suspension device should use a flexible connection.
3. Before the no-load test, all bolts should be tightened once, especially the foundation bolts of the vibrating electromagnet. After continuous operation for 3-5 hours, they should be retightened. During the test run, both vibrating motors must rotate in the same direction.
4. During the feeding process, the amplitude, current, and noise stability should be checked frequently; if any abnormalities are detected, the machine should be stopped immediately for handling.
5. Lubricating oil should be added to the electromagnetic bearings every 2 months, and once a month during the high-temperature season.
