Construction Materials-Other Building Materials
Laboratory furniture and laboratory fume hoods are essential equipment in laboratories. Not only should they have excellent functionality and comply with industry standards, but they should also possess an attractive appearance and harmonious colors, while being environmentally friendly and energy-efficient, to improve indoor conditions. Laboratory furniture differs from office furniture; its use often involves contact with water, electricity, gas, chemicals, and instruments, which imposes higher requirements on the structure and materials of the furniture. When constructing a laboratory, the design and selection of furniture must be tailored to the laboratory's working content, environmental conditions, and specific requirements. 1. Classification of laboratory furniture: 1. By function, it is divided into laboratory tables and laboratory cabinets. (1) Laboratory tables include side tables, central tables, instrument tables, ceiling tables, washing tables, high-temperature tables, dissection tables, sampling tables, stainless steel tables, etc.; (2) Laboratory cabinets include fume hoods, drug cabinets, utensil cabinets, gas cylinder cabinets, acid and alkali storage cabinets, specimen cabinets, sample cabinets, document cabinets, etc.; 2. By material, it is divided into steel-wood structure, full wood structure, and full steel structure. (1) Steel-wood structure: composed of a metal frame and wooden cabinet body, can be equipped with mobile and fixed cabinet bodies, cost-effective but with a single style, suitable for customers pursuing economic benefits. (2) Full wood structure: all cabinet bodies are made of artificial board (medium-density fiberboard), rich in color, but not moisture-resistant and with slightly lower load-bearing capacity, unsuitable for humid environments and high-load requirements, not recommended for use. (3) Full steel structure: made of 1.0mm thick cold-rolled steel plate through cutting, bending, and welding, all cold-rolled steel plates undergo acid cleaning and phosphating treatment, followed by surface spraying with epoxy resin and high-temperature baking. It has good load-bearing performance, sturdy and durable. 3. By structure, it is divided into fixed laboratory tables, suspended laboratory tables, and split laboratory tables. (1) Fixed laboratory tables: supported by floor cabinets, cabinet bodies can use full wood structure and full steel structure, lacking flexibility. (2) Suspended laboratory tables: cabinet bodies rest on a metal frame, cabinet bodies can use full wood structure and full steel structure, with good moisture resistance and slightly stronger flexibility. (3) Split laboratory tables: cabinet bodies are equipped with mobile wheels, cabinet bodies can use full wood structure and full steel structure, where the metal frame and tabletop form a unit, with good moisture resistance, easy to move, and good flexibility. During experimental operations, a large amount of toxic and harmful gases will be generated, which must be expelled outdoors through ventilation and exhaust systems to reduce harm to laboratory personnel and create a comfortable and safe working environment.
