PEEK high molecular polymer belongs to high temperature thermoplastic plastic, with a high glass transition temperature (162℃) and melting point (358℃), with a high load thermal deformation temperature of 332℃ (30% glass fiber or carbon fiber reinforced grade), can be used for long term at 260℃, compared with other high temperature resistant plastics such as PPS, PTFE, PAI, PPU and so on, the maximum operating temperature is nearly 60℃ higher; PEEK resin not only has better heat resistance than other high temperature resistant plastics, but also has high strength, high modulus, high fracture toughness and excellent dimensional stability; PEEK resin can maintain high strength at high temperature, its bending strength at 200℃ is about 24MPa, PEEK bending strength and compression strength at 260℃ are still 15~19MPa; PEEK resin has high rigidity, good dimensional stability, small linear expansion coefficient, very close to aluminum metal material; has excellent chemical resistance, its corrosion resistance is similar to nickel steel, and it has flame retardancy, releases less smoke and toxic gases under flame conditions, and has strong radiation resistance; PEEK resin has good toughness, excellent fatigue resistance to alternating stress is outstanding among all plastics, can be comparable to alloy materials; PEEK resin has outstanding tribological properties, excellent resistance to sliding wear and fretting wear, especially can maintain high wear resistance and low friction coefficient at 256℃; PEEK is easy to extrude and inject molding, with excellent processing performance and high molding efficiency. In addition, PEEK also has good self-lubricity, easy processing, stable insulation, hydrolysis resistance and other excellent properties, with comprehensive performance, good mechanical performance, high temperature resistance, superior chemical resistance, making it a universal plastic.
